BCV in July; any tips?

I'm taking my first family trip to the Beach Club Villas in July. We have a 2 bedroom booked the week of July 10th. We have spent the last 9 years staying on the MK side of Disney. Any tips on room view requests, resort perks, or things to check out while we are there? We are total newbies on the EPCOT side.

Not much to share but...

Make sure you find the walkway from the villas to the gate, so you don't have to walk through the lobby. It is a great short cut.

When riding the boat back from Hollywood Studios, get off at Swan /Dolphin and walk to BCV...quicker than boat.

I'm sure you will enjoy Stormalong Bay while staying at the Beach Club. Don't forget to try the gelato at the Beach Club Marketplace. It's yummy.

We start off the week before at AKV and check-in to BCV on July 13th with our family, my brother's family and my parents to celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary!!!


We love BCV for the pool, and the location is awesome. In July with the heat, we like to spend the afternoons poolside and hit the parks in the evenings. It is great to just pop over to World Showcase for lunch or dinner. You will enjoy being close to 2 parks without using buses! We walk to the front of Epcot to ride the monorail to MK. And as others have said, the back pathway is great in avoiding walking through the lobby to get to Epcot/WS.

We like the character breakfast as well as the "Clam Bake" at the Cape May Cafe. I love staying at BCV in the summer because it's usually just perfect weather to enjoy SAB!

I am determined to use the grill and enjoy a picnic dinner with DH.

We'll be there for a week in June in '11!

we requested a quiet pool view....it's very nice overlooking that area....no more gelato BTW....

chairs by Stormalong Bay can fill up quickly.. Hurricaine Hannah's is a nice option for a light lunch or a cold drink.
