So having gone to Disney forever my family and I have always stayed at moderate and deluxe resorts. This will be our first stay on points. What do I need to know bring etc. That is different then staying on cash. Last week we stayed in a cash room at old key west so this room had maid service etc. What do I need to bring that I might not think of? Are the fridges in the studios big or college dorm size? Thanks for all the help!

If you are in a studio, the refrigerator will be an undercounter refrigerator and it should have a small freezer section. You'll have a microwave and toaster, plus a Mr Coffee type coffee maker (should be similar to what you had in OKW). Paper plates and bowls and plastic flatware. A couple of ceramic coffee cups and real glass glasses.

For stays of seven nights or less, you will get your trash removed and towels replaced on day four (day one is check in day). If you stay eight nights or more, you will have a full cleaning on day four and trash and towel service on day eight. You'll have one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa.

You might need extra shampoo and conditioner and shower gel.

It all depends if you are flying or driving. Driving, I would throw some extra paper goods in there... I like to bring my disposable coffee cups so I can sip my coffee while waiting for bus or walking to Epcot or DHS. I also like to bring stuff for a late night nightcap... Saves a few bucks and is a nice way to end the day.

Also, a few extra towels are nice. And can be used to help keep the car clean for snacking during the trip... Keep reading... Plenty more tips on this board.

Bring extra coffee/filters/condiments, shampoo/conditioner, bath soap, more paper plates/bowls if you'll be eating in the room at all.

If you'll be doing laundry, bring laundry detergent. Guest laundry is free for DVC members.

Trash and Towel day is on day 4. (Note: day 1 is the day you check-in.) They'll replace your towels, take out your trash, and should give you more soap/shampoo/conditioner and coffee.

Have fun! :goodvibes

So by small fridge under counter .... does that mean the same size you get in the regular hotel cash rooms the mini fridges. Or are they bigger?

No, bigger. Not a cube. They have a shelf and usually a small freezer section. They are as tall as the counter.

I just stayed cash at old key west. While not my favorite resort I am spoiled by the large kitchen it is going to be hard to go to a studio!
