What's the best location to request for peace and quiet? This will be my first stay at BCV. I have a studio reserved.

BCV is pretty quiet to start with. I'd ask for a top floor room so that you are the furthest away from any traffic noise.

I always ask specifically for "quiet area" and get a room overlooking the woods(well, except once) down the "jog" off to the right about half way down the main corridor. Generally,it's quiet. I have been awakened by crying babies more than once, but it's Disney World, even there they can't guarantee quiet.

Although I have never stayed in one, I would think that woods view would be the quietest.

"Pool view" may have swimmers that get a little to loud late into the evening.

"Epcot view" (x40-x52 even and x53 -x77) - may have some noise intrusion from the road that runs behind BCV (Epcot Resorts Blvd.) Although I stayed in 155 a couple weeks ago and thought it was very quiet. Further down at 367 I thought the road's bridge over the canal had a couple bumps on junctions that lead to a slight noise intrusion, not really very noticable, but there.

Courtyard view - may have more activity with people coming and going. I also saw some game being played on that lawn.

As far as interior noise, I would think that those rooms right near the main elevator 225-234 might be noiser with hall traffic.

I really don't think that any rooms are very noisy at BCV.

I've stayed at BCV many times - from my experience it's not the rooms that are noisy. It's the idiots who think it's ok to let their kids run & scream down the hallways when people are sleeping - perhaps bellowing to them to "SLOW DOWN" or laughing extremely loudly themselves. That can happen anywhere you have an interior hallway though, and the closer to the elevators you are, the greater your chances of having people pass your doorway.

So are you saying that the quietest area at BCV is in OKW?
Just kidding! We love 'em both, but definitely find OKW more "quiet" and "laid back" and BVC more "in the middle of the action."

We experienced this when we stayed at SSR last year....very annoying.

I read your trip reports on another websites and know you stay at BCV alot, what area would you suggest? I'm going solo this trip, I'd like peace and quiet but I also don't want to be walking all over the hotel to get to my room.

I'm curious about this, too. We're planning a trip for September 2008 at BCV, 2BR. We REALLY want first floor, so that's top priority, but I think it could get a little noisy by the pool. On the other hand, I don't think DMom would be too happy looking out at a road or somthing like that. Trees, BC, etc. would be fine.

Then we think a higher level might be better - I'm just not sure what to decide!

Our last stay at OKW we had people come back to their room late (11-12 or so) and I don't think they had kids, but it was unbelievable how loud they were. The rudeness of people consistently amaze me.

Anyway, we were just in room 530 at BCV. You could hear a lot of elevator noise. I think the cable or pulley or something was right on the other side of the wall. Resting their in the afternoon, I thought it would keep me up all night, but it turned out OK... probably just because you're exhausted by that time. To be safe, I'd probably stay away from this room though.

I agree with ShelleBelle. BCV's pool area is nothing short of bedlam. Not to say that the sandy bottom pool with pirate ship slide, inner tubes etc isn't the best of the best... but the chairs spaced only inches apart by the hundreds around the pool offers no relaxation compared to OKW. But that's just me....

This sounds like your are talking about SAB, not the nice quiet pool at BCV.

I wonder how many are staying BCV and running the marathon - I want a quiet room until 3am - then I'll want to nap around noon I'm sure there'll be at least a dozen with the same request!! Just glad I got in BCV!!

You are absolutely correct! I was talking about storm along bay. Our room overlooked the quiet pool when we were there. I stand corrected!!
