I haven't stayed at BCV in several years. I would love any tips from BCV experts.

What room location should I request (studio)?

Does anyone have a link to a map w/ the room #s?

Is there a BCV link out there w/ info?

I'm looking for tips on how to make the most out of our short visit there. Obviously we'll be enjoying Stormalong Bay, Cape May Dinner & possibly breakfast.

Any ideas/special tips would be appreciated. Thanks! :worship:

There is a website with lots of studio pictures (park info to go or something like that). I've stayed in about 10 different studios, and the ones I like best are the ones that are down that right-hand "jog" that face the woods (I know the ones ending in -39 are the first ones after that turn). The only tip I have is to make sure you check out the movies on the beach. On my last trip, I went to the movies almost every night. And if it rains, the movies are held in the Solarium.

Just request a studio that is higher up or lower. Pool view or non-pool view. If you make a request by a specific room number and that room is occupied, they will have no idea where to put you.

Not an expert but do love BCV.

The burgers at Hurricane Hannahs are now as good as Beaches and Cream. Served much faster too.

Don't forget to enjoy BCV's pool. It's delightful.

Have fun!!!

I stay at BCV at least once a year and pretty much take what I get. The only "Bad" view I ever had was a first floor room looking right at the solarium. My favorit locations are the pool or woods views. Highly recommend the breakfast at the Yacht Club and if you just want a quick meal the food court in the gift shop is good, especially the yogurt! Pool - great! The best on property. Pool snack bar - great. As someone said - movies on the beach are way cool! It's not a movie to be quiet in, kids running around having fun, and it's just super! I'm an early morning person and to get up, get out and walk the Boardwalk or sit and enjoy the morning with a cup of coffee is just heaven on earth!

Don't forget to try the gelato! Yum!

Gelato?? Where? Does Beaches & Cream sell it?

OMG--I love gelato!

Where's the food court? It's in the gift shop???.....at BC or YC ???

Thanks for all the tips. I just can't remember much about BCV & I really appreciate it.

Gelato is sold at the Beach Club Marketplace which is the new name for the gift shop. They also sell the wonderful fruit and yogurt parfaits and egg croissants at breakfast. Three types of sandwiches and design your own salads at lunch and dinner. There are also assorted pastries. Not a true food court though.

The flavors often change a little. One December when I was there, they had eggnog flavor. Last October, they were offering Cookies and Cream. I heard someone say they had Watermelon once, but I've never seen that flavor. Sadly, they used to have, but discontinued, my favorite, pistacchio.

Is there space in the BCV studio for a blow up mattress? It'll just be four of us, but I think my mother and DD would be better off if they weren't sharing the double couch. :) TIA!

I think it would be a very tight fit especially if someone had to get up at night.

If it's a single you might be able to squeeze it somewhere, but it will be very difficult.

Simba's Mom:

Thanks for the gelato pictures. My mouth is watering already!

Do you know how early the Boardwalk Bakery opens? Thanks!

Yes. My kids won't sleep together. We pull the couch out, and there is room on the floor between the couch and tv for a twin aerobed. It's tight, but there is room. We always bring the aerobed so I'm looking into getting one that is raised up at regular bed height. I think that would be more comfortable for my son as he gets older.
