BCV DVC Trip Report: A lovely resort!

Great report ! thanks for taking the time to be so specific.

We stayed at BCV's once and had exactly the same impression. We had a great vacation, liked the resort but given a choice, we would choose BWV's first when it comes to the EPCOT resorts. Somehow, it was missing something, not sure what. We head there for dining each trip but may not stay there again (unless the kids request strongly)

As well, after a quick stay at VWL this past winter, that is a new favourite. Sure wish we had points there !

Great report, Granny. I had to laugh at your description of the room view and location. I've been in the same location as you were, and it's my favorite view area. That's why I really hesitate when people ask "which room has the best view at...."
And one time, someone came back from BCV raving about the view from a particular room. Next time I went, I got that room-thought I was going to be in view heaven. Unfortunately, I found the road noise too distracting. Yet, when I was in #339, there was a Hawk in a particular tree every morning, and as a birder, I thought that was so nice. Everyone's idea of a great view is different.
Happy anniversary!
Simba's Mom...I agree completely that room view is very subjective, and I also hesitate to rave or rant about any particular view. I was fine with the view we had from this room, but wanted to point out to others who really want to see Illuminations that this room doesn't accomplish that.

Really, if it weren't for the fact that the pathway had a fair amount of traffic we would have been completely happy with our "woods view". And even then it really wasn't that big of a deal for us. For most people, that traffic would be at times that they are at the parks so they wouldn't even know about it. :)

Thanks for the report, we are staying at BCV in December. We are not DVC members just yet, hope to start the process while we are in WDW. I was wondering if they were renovating the Villas since I heard they were working on the BC rooms. Oh, Happy Anniversary. We are going with my in-laws who are celebrating their 50th Anniversary.

I'm not aware of any renovation work scheduled for BCV. As I indicated, there was some wear & tear but in general the carpeting and furnishings looked pretty good to me.

There was scaffolding outside of the BC the whole time we were there and they were working pretty diligently there. Didn't see anything like that at BCV.

Sounds like you have a great trip lined up. Enjoy!! :)

Wow Granny! Your thread made it to page two!! Change the word 'lovely' to horrible and see what happens!:rotfl2:
