Bcv - Cost??

I can never figure out how much it would be to rent points at BCV.
We are going to disney 8/7 - 8/4. There are 7 people in our group. Can someone help me figure this out. I know the weekends are more? I'm trying to see it it would be cheaper than staying at dolphin - 2 rooms - 139.00 per night. Or if we split our stay thursday - monday am at dolphin and then
monday PM - thursday AM at BCV. I'm confused - any help is appreciated. I would consider staying at boardwalk with renting points if that we cheaper. Need good advice. Thank you.

Hi there,
If you did BCV 2 BR for those 7 nights ,it is 350 points. If you stayed at Swan/Dolphin Thurs, Fri, Sat nights and BCV the rest it is 160 points. You are in one of the highest point count months in DVC. That time of the year it is 40 points weekdays , and 75 points weekends. If you want 2 studios that changes everything. They are 14 and 32 repectively. So 2 studios those nights would be 134 points each, for 7 nights. You could do the Swan/ Dolphin the first 3 nights and then do BCV studio the last 4. At 14 points a night that is the same as Swan/Dolphin. no tax on DVC rental points.

when you say staying at the S&D you are talking about paying cash? you can't use points can you?

greggville: No you can't use points at the Swan/Dolphin but you can at most of the other moderate and deluxe resorts.

Do you already have a reservation? Have you arranged to rent the points? You may or may not be able to get a reservation this close to your departure date. So it may be a moot point.

I have reservations at the dolphin, just trying to save money or stay a BC for same amount of money. I could always cancel my reservations at dolphin. I wanted to know where I can find a layout of studio room at dolpin, that would probably be our best bet - 2 studio rooms. thanks for all you information.
