The wife and I are considering doing a 50 point add on contract for BCV so we can get that resort for F+W in November. We have a BLT contract and we have attempted to book right at the 7 month mark for the past two years for a deluxe studio for 4 nights. Not happening.

So here is the question.

If we purchase the contract now...say close by late March..which is in between the 7 and 11 month mark, what do you think are our chances of getting what we want-A deluxe studio for 4 nights, Jersey weekend? We will be in with only the home resort people, but towards the back end of the period. We will have 100 points to work with because of using this year's points and next year's points.

Thanks!

You are talking about buying direct, right? Only way you could get points that quick.

I think it is likely that studios at the Epcot resorts are already booked up for F&W weekends, especially the weekend of Jersey Week. Maybe you could score a 1 BR, maybe not.

You could try to use the fact that you are purchasing direct as leverage to get in for a reservation. That's what I did for my 10 day honeymoon last year at BLT and we purchased at BLT (we could have gotten a studio at Beach Club - it was pushed several times). We purchased in April, closed in June (if memory serves correct) and our honeymoon was Halloween week. They keep a certain amount of rooms free to be able to use for last minute ressies like this - so it's worth a shot. Good luck!

All of the BWV studios (all 3 views) are already booked for that weekend (11/7 & 11/8), so it is very unlikely that there are any still available at BCV. (There are less studios at BCV than at the BWV). You'd have to waitlist and hope to be very lucky.

Jersey Week tends to book very quickly, especially for the EPCOT resorts. BCV Studios and the BWV standard and Boardwalk view studios are usually gone on the first day the window is open and the Pool/Garden BWV studios follow soon after.

I own both BWV and BCV and those weekends are long gone with likely long wait lists. Not sure if you are looking to buy direct but there are frequent wait lists to buy BCV points depending on the use year and number of points you want. We have been on the waitlist there twice for just 50 points each.

Small (25-50) point contracts via resale are few and snapped up very quickly.

I'm on the waitlist for the night of Nov 7th at BCV in a studio. Agree with PP, if you buy direct, your guide may be able to magically make a studio appear, but no go for resale.

It doesn't hurt to ask, but that is seldom an option for the sold out resorts. I would think it is even less likely if there are waitlists for points.

It can happen for the resorts that are not sold out because the guides have access to undeclared developer inventory. They can pull a room out of that (if available) to give to the purchaser.

If you are buying direct, you do not have to wait until closing to book.
