BCV and EPCOT Entrance

We're staying at the BCV for the first time and have an Akershus breakfast before park opening. Can we use the EPCOT entrance near the resort at that time of day? I'm worried that entrance doesn't open until park opening and I don't want to be surprised. Thanks.

The International Gateway opens the same time as the rest of the park, even though the World Showcase attractions don't open until later.

Stop at the front desk (the night before) and ask them to print out your confirmation times, which has the day, time, and name on it (it will be a little slip of paper). Show this to the CM at the gate for early entrance. I've seen folks be allowed to go through earlier for a Norway ADR. They generally open the turnstiles about 15 minutes before the park opens, but they hold you. Sometimes we've been walked to the fountain for RD (in an orderly fashion) and sometimes we are held at the bridge. We stay at the BWV and BCV alot.

We've been able to do that. They will check your ADR and send you around world showcase clockwise from the International Gatewat entrance. Very easy, and I nice pleasant , no crowd walk.

You can. It can go smoothly like others have said.

Although, last year, we were staying at BCV and did the same. We arrived at IG and were told we had to wait until precisely 8:00 (our reservation) time, until they could open the gate and let us in (there was a small crowd of other families there too). My husband went up to one of the CMs and explained that we had breakfast ressies, but she would not budge. Grrrrr. I have never run around WS so fast in my life.

Not mad, just slightly annoyed. The hubster and I were never more than at that moment.

As long as you have your confirmation # with you, you will have no problem getting through the gate before the park opens. There will be a CM standing at the Turnstile with a clip board. Let that CM know your name and he will mark you off and let you go through. We have done this many times, and it is one of our favorite things to do. There is nothing like taking great pictures of WS before the mass of crowds come strolling through.

Well, I would just point out that one person's experience is not everyone's. In November, we had the same scenario and the CM said she had to wait until she got phone approval. Well, phone approval did NOT come before park opening. So, we just had to get around to Norway as everyone else was entering.

The good news for us was that once we got to Akershus, they got us in quickly and actually "cut" us through the line to get pictures with Belle.

My suggestion is to not stress too much, just let things happen as they will and trust that things will work out along the way.
