Just got back from 4 days at BCV. I was really concerned about the new AC motion sensor system, but am happy to report that it was no problem. I am very sensitive to the heat, and I'm always turning the thermostat down to cool things off; like to sleep under a quilt year-round. The weather was in the high 80's, with very high humidity that made it feel much hotter. I set the AC on 75 during the day. It was a little warm when we got back to the room, but when I turned it down, it got cool very very quickly. At night, I turned it as low as it would go (68) and with the ceiling fan set on low, it was very cool and comfortable in the bedroom.

Hopefully the A/C will work fine in warmer weather! We will be at BCV in June. Annmarie

It worked fine for us last month when temps were near 90 every day and the humidity was high.

We just returned from a 5 night stay. We also had initial concerns about the AC at the BCV, but are happy to report no problems. It was in the high 80's all week (with the ever-present high humidity), and the room was very comfortable. As GrammieMame said, even when it was a little warm when you first walked in (it was NEVER 'hot") it cooled very quickly.

I also agree. I, too, was concerned because I'm always hot. We spent 8 nights in a 1 BR at BCV from 10/13 to 10/21 and we varied the temp between 68 and 71 with no problem at all. We also utiilized the ceiling fans and they worked great. We were very comfortable the entire trip. The hallways however were freezing cold at some points. Too bad they don't have the same controls.

After reading some of the initial complaints, I found myself thinking that DVD must be brain-dead if they bought a system that wasn't programmable. Perhaps it *is* programmable and was reprogrammed after some complaints came in? Does anyone know? Or am I just bonkers?

I agree with the other posts, we were there from 10/13 to 10/21 and didn't have any troubles with the AC. I think DH set it on 70 and left it for the week. It didn't take long for it to cool down once you were in the room.

And I agree with luv2dream, the halls were very cold, esp when the outside temp dropped some, which it did thurs/fri of that week. So if you're hot, just open the hall door - just kidding of course!!
