Hi! I'm not a DVC member (yet!), but I just returned from my first stay at BCV. I rented a studio from a fellow DISer and my family just fell head over heels in LOVE with the BCV and the resort area! After reading many posts here about how cramped a studio can be, I was really surprised at how spacious it was! If I were really looking, I could've found a few signs of wear, but I thought the villa was beautiful!

For you members, I thought you might like these observations:
-- There was a lot of painting going on in the interior while we were there. Lots of touch ups, I think. There were little Stitch signs saying "Wet Paint" in different areas all week.

-- Our villa did not have new mattresses. But, I did see an old mattress in the hallway on my way in one day. I assumed that villa's mattresses must be getting replaced.

-- The housekeeping staff was very friendly. Even though we only had trash & towel service once, we would often see them in the hallway. They were always very nice.

On the way home yesterday, my DH actually started asking me about how much DVC costs and how it works. Hmmm... Maybe eventually we'll be owners too!!

Thanks for all of the great info and help here on the DIS.

I'm glad you enjoyed your BCV visit! We often stay in studios and we enjoy BCV as well!

Bobbi :thumbsup2

I'm so glad you enjoyed the BCV! It's a beautiful resort. Buying DVC was a great decision for us. Good luck with your decision making on becoming owners!

Thanks for the report! We will be staying at BCV over Thanksgiving. Have stayed at the Beach Club many times but never the villas. Can't wait! :Pinkbounc

We stayed in a 2 Bedroom at BCV for the first time in August and loved it too. It's a beautiful resort and I loved the location. It was so convenient to be able to walk to EPCOT and MGM.

Glad you enjoyed your trip. We love BCV too! :cool1:

Thanks for sharing!! I just love that place!!! :goodvibes

Another BCV lover here! Did you notice that when you walk in the automatic doors at the entrance, the wonderful "smell" of BCV? Maybe it's all the fresh paint! And did you have any gelato at the Marketplace? If not, you missed one of (in my opinion) best things there!

Yes! I loved that smell! And, yes, we had gelato! DD & I found our new favorite treat. Good thing for me that I can't get it around home!! I learned quickly, though, to ask the cashiers what I could get on the DDP, not the workers behind the food counter. I'd asked if gelato was a snack credit & was told no. I knew many here had said it was, so I asked the cashier -- Yes. So, I enjoyed my chocolate, raspberry, lemon combo.

Oh, I forgot to say earlier that we got to meet Art. What a perfect gentleman! DD really enjoyed conversing and pin trading with Mr. Art. It was one of the highlights of her trip.

The only negative of our whole stay was that one night, as we'd gotten a late supper at the marketplace to take & eat in our room, we couldn't get into our room. We tried every room key we had. We marched back downstairs to sit in the breezeway outside the marketplace. Meanwhile, our gelato had quite melted. DH goes to the front desk & learns that the key readers in the whole BCV building had gone out. They were being reprogrammed. It was just a small glitch in an otherwise perfect trip. But it was a little frustrating when we were tired and had two trays full of food.

Glad you had a great time. We too are thinking about DVC and BCV, but wanted to rent once first. Did you have a hard time finding someone to rent from? We want to go in Sept of 2007, and aren't having much success finding someone to rent from yet. Perhaps we are looking to early....

Andy
