BCV 2bedrooms, dedicated or not?

I just switched us over to BCV for our Jan trip and I thought I had read previously that there were only a few dedicated 2bedrooms there. I asked the MS rep if we were in a lock off or ded and she told me there were only a few lock offs there and that we were in a 'regular' 2bedroom (aka dedicated).

I figured you guys here would have the correct answer. LOL

There are three types of 2 bedrooms at BCV:

2 bedroom lock-off (74)
2 bedroom dedicated with 2 queens in the second bedroom (~25)
2 bedroom dedicated with 1 queen and 1 queen sleeper sofa in the second bedroom(~53)

According to dvcnews.com (see http://www.dvcnews.com/index.php/resorts/beach-club-villas/general-information), the breakout of villas at BCV are

Dedicated Studios 36

Dedicated 1-bedrooms 20

Dedicated 2-bedrooms 78

Lock-off 2-bedrooms 74

Since the numbers of dedicated and lock-offs are about the same, perhaps the CM meant to say that there were very few lock-off 2-BRs left when you called. dvcnews.com also has maps showing the locations of the different villas at BCV (see http://www.dvcnews.com/index.php/resorts/beach-club-villas/maps-a-photos).

We got the last 2 bedroom available for that week. I'm not sure what she meant about it being a 'regular' 2bedroom. LOL

We just returned from a dedicated 2 bedroom with 2 queens in the 2nd bedroom - room 533 - and we loved it. We had a woods view, and a huge balcony. We had 6 people - 4 adults and 2 kids in the villa and had plenty of room.

I also believe that the dedicated 2 bedroom w/2 queens are those that do not have a balcony door off the second bedroom. These rooms tend to be at the corners of the hotel. Notice there are none on the 1st floor and very few that are pool view.

We returned from the BCVs on 5/16 and had reserved a 2br lockoff (told us at 7 mo. window that that was all that was available) which was fine with us. Imagine my surprise when we checked in and had a dedicated 2br with the second bedroom having a queen bed and a queen sofabed. It was a corner room (Rm 202) with a huge balcony with a view of the canal and quiet pool. It was just perfect for us and we loved it. Have a great trip!
