Just returned last night from sunny, warm Florida to snowy, cold Seattle.
Stayed at the BCV for the first time and had a dedicated 2 bedroom, loved it so much. Personally prefer over the Boardwalk, seemed quieter and liked having the parking next to the Villas and them being seperate from the hotel itself. Marketplace did fine for the sandwich and gelato attacks. I had read on the boards about the 'frontage' road and it's got quite a bit of traffic on it. I think it would be an issue if it was during the summer and wanted to sit on the deck. I did find ants in my bedroom!! (#242), there were none found anywhere else but the master bedroom. First night only one, then 2 days later, they were walking all over the sink and down around the floorboards next to the bed. Killed what I could, we were on our way to MVMCP so didn't have time to call housekeeping to deal with this, but when we got back, they were gone and didn't see them again!!

The ants probably got word of the new dining plan and decided it was a better deal!

Thanks for the trip report. Our family loves BCV and we usually stay in a dedicated 2-bedroom ourselves.

Didn't you love the gelato? I was there for 4 days last week and had gelato 3 times. I couldn't decide which I liked best-vanilla, mango, or pistachio, so I tried all three. Pistachio might win, how about for you?

Gelato..........mmmmmmmmm
I had it once and just had half and half. The meals we were eating included dessert so didn't have room for more gelato, but boy is it good. What a great idea with that Marketplace. The sandwiches are really good as is the gelato.

Thanks for your report, Debbie. Rocketriter you are too funny. I'm glad the ants made their exit.

When's your next trip "home", Debbie. Or is BWV home?

thanks for posting!!

We were actually really close (269 & 271). I love that new marketplace as well!! One day while shopping, I saw a cast member purchasing the most yummy looking salad. I asked what it was and she said it was called the "Riptide" and you have it built to your specs. She said she comes over to the Marketplace almost every day to get one.

I never did get to try one, but it is on my list of "must do's"!! It looked SOO good!! I did get a brownie and piece of chocolate cake (I am such a pig!!) They were SOOO yummy!!! They were so rich, we all ate off of them for 3 days!!
