So, my husband gave me a trip to Disney in March with my adult children and thier sigs. There will be 8 of us. We are annual passholders. We have a 2 bedroom booked. I have looked lots of information but am confused. Doesn't take much these days!!!!! We have made several trips but have always stayed at either the Yacht or Beach Club Resort. He thought we could try the villas and if it works then we would buy into DVC. Does every 2 bedroom have 1 king, 2 queens, and a sleeper sofa in the main room? What are the quietest rooms? Any advice would be helpful.

A DEDICATED 2 bd has 1 king in a bedroom, 2 queens in another bedroom and a fold out sofa in the living room.

A LOCK OFF 2 bd is a connecting studio and 1 bd. In the 1 bd there is a king in the bedroom and a fold out sofa in the living room. In the studio there is 1 queen and 1 fold out couch and 1 small murphy under the TV. The 1 bd has a full kitchen and studio a kitchenette.

These are booking categories and cannot be requested. I don’t know if cash reservations are dedicated or lock offs. Call to ask perhaps? We own at BCV and just left today. We stay in dedicated only. Those couches are brutal.

I wouldn't book a two bedroom villa for eight adults. It will be too crowded. You only have two bathrooms. I guess if you get the master, you'll be sharing your bathroom with the family members in the living room. I go for at least a two bedroom villa and another studio. But you still have four adults in one bedroom. How well do your family members and their significant others do with sharing bathrooms?

The BCV two-bedrooms booked with cash through WDW are dedicated 2-bedrooms with 1 king, 2 queens and one pull-out sofa. The pull-out sofas are not comfortable IMHO. If your family doesn't mind sharing two bathrooms, you may want to look into a 2-bedroom at Riviera. Instead of pull-out sofas, they have pull-down murphy beds in the living room and we found that bed to be far more comfortable than a pull-out. You could also call to see if any three bedroom villas are available, however, on a cash reservation, I've only ever found availability at SSR and AKV-Kidani for a 3-bedroom. I agree with OP who suggested perhaps booking one additional studio in addition to the 2-bedroom at BCV.

I personally think a person needs to add park transportation into the mix when deciding which resort to book. As of last night (I haven't checked Twitter yet today), if you book Riviera there is only one bus per hour to Epcot and DHS. They want everyone to take the Skyliner. Some people would not be comfortable on the Skyliner and would prefer being able to walk to Epcot and walk or boat to DHS, as you can from BCV.

I also agree with @Deb&Bill that this could feel too crowded. Disney tells you how many people could sleep in a room if every bed space is occupied and if every bed space is shared if it is big enough for two people. That doesn't mean a person will be happy staying in a room with that many people.

And even if you are all happy in the two-bedroom: there is a lot more to think about before buying into DVC. Perhaps OP knows that and doesn't need a reminder from me.

Yes, definitely research the heck out of a DVC purchase. Especially for BCV which is one of the poorest values purchased resale and a complete wreck direct. But hard to book with non BCV points.

Thanks for the advise. We booked another Studio at the BCV. We could not find any 3 bdrms for our stay.

Very smart. We put our family of 4 in a 2 bedroom. Could not imagine having 8 people in one.
