We've had a really nice trip. BCV got a garden view room (asked for pool or Fireworks, but couldn't get either). Noise from the cages (ME) can be loud when balcony door is open (and 3 times car alarm going off), but with doors closed no problems.

Pool was very cold first day, called several people, and I think they turned it on. It's been nice since then, and we've swam every day. FYI - the little slide pool was very warm (Lifeguard say they try to keep that pool at 90 for the little ones). Wish they did that at all the pools!! I want 86 degrees, but it felt like 82ish, which was okay.

Several Hot tubs out of commission.

I know why member satisfaction is down. :rotfl: My neighbor kept putting dirty poopy diapers in the hallway, and had to call them to ask them to stop. Tried to explain where the garbage could be taken, but never got that far as they retreated off the phone quickly. I then followed up with Mousekeeping management.

A few times room service trays left in hallways for extended periods. Also for these I called front desk to have them picked up.

No gingerbread decorating class for the little ones - we really liked this in the past, and was sorry they didn't have it.

Decorations beautiful everywhere.

Mickey's party - attendance was very low for day we went - Thursday, but it rained all night! Also, we tried to get a TS reservation, but none to be found for MK on XMAS party nights. So plan ahead, or plan on Casey's hotdogs.

I pulled my back out lugging the luggage, so wanted to rent a motorized scooter one day ($40, w/$5 deposit), and there was a wait list. Seems like lots of people no longer walk...

Left a small tip on T&T day, and mousekeeping did an excellent job of straightening the room. I'm going to leave another small tip when I check out. Made the beds, left lots of towels, and generally picked up... It was really very nice.

Met Art the Greeter, and he looks well.

All in All, another great Disney trip. And I love BCV. Hard to pinpoint, but I thought the resort is looking more spiffy. Lots of friendly interaction with the CMs at BCV, which I usually associate with OKW.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, sounds like you were able to cope with it all. I travel and find if you let things get to you, you would have to stay home. I do call or go stright to the management ASAP, only way they will know if things are no working for the guest.

Saw the roofing tiles being replaced on the BCVs.

And they came into room to replace the air filters.

I think they are taking care of a lot of little things, which would explain my things look spiffier, but can't tell exactly what or why.

Off to one last dash to the parks...

Any q's - ask away.

Oh, weather is extremely variable. So my best packing advice is jeans with short sleeves, with sweat jacket at night. And for little ones doing xmas party, a blankie, hat and gloves. (Can get cold after sun goes down). It's been raining too, so bring those rain ponchos from your last trip.

When you say a garden view room, where exactly is that? Is it courtyard or woods. perhaps? I had a woods view last time, loved it. Can you see Illuminations from your room? Have you eaten at BC Marketplace at all? So sorry to hear about your back and the hot tubs being out of commission-right about now, especially, you could probably use a hot tub. Thanks for getting me excited about going to my favorite resort in a few weeks-save some gelato for me!

Goldi I am glad you are having a nice time, inbetween taking care of other guests problems, that is very nice of you. Its ashame that other guest cant
be more considerate of other guest, they are on vacation too. :goodvibes

How are the beds at the BCV ? the last two trips we had awful bed & pull out couches, I dont think my back can take another broken mattress especially for our coming up trip.

Enjoy your last morning

Garden view (Room 403 if anyone looks at a map) means looking over the Ariel courtyard, and so when we go out on our balcony, I can see the valet area to the right where all the cars, Mears, and Magical Express (and noisy cage lugguage carts) come in... So no fireworks or pools, but lots of valet action.

Didn't eat at the market place at all, so can't comment.

The Master Bed in the 1 BR seemed very comfy, but pullout coach was painful for me (but I pulled my back, so probably not in the best of shape right now anyway). DD-8 who is 55 lbs seems just fine.

We just came back from magic hours in epcot, and had a blast. Got to see the new Crush show, and the clamshell rides at the living seas. Really cute and fun.

Swimming and packing tomorrow, and off to the airport.

wdwstar, have a great trip, and waiting to see pictures of all the beautiful xmas trees!

Dearest L,

I didn't know you hurt your back? How was the scooter? I am sorry the resort didn't keep up to standards. I truly don't understand why folks with small kids don;t take responsibility for them. I clean mom's sliding glass doors before I leave her house as my DS is the one who messed them up, why should she clean it?

I also feel bad about the rain! Was the rest of the time nice? Can you tell me some wonderful things about your trip? Were the lines short?

I am so happy you got to go to the world and that you are safe. Can I do anything to help you feel better?

Love to you and your family, April :grouphug:

Really, just slept in, swam all day at BCV pools, ate in the room, and did 3 lego projects with our DD-8 (Star Wars about 200 pieces). Watched family movies - How to eat fried worms, and then at night, DD-8 wanted to go to sand castle club, where we dropped her off, and we'd go to fireworks at Epcot or MK.

It reallly was a very much needed relaxed vacation. Lines were short - I'd say better than F&W festival in October.

But this was a get away and do nothing trip. ALso, we went Downtown Disney to do a little xmas shopping (bought hubby a goofy wormy hat for when we go skiing), and a Jack Skelleton sweat shirt for Halloween next year in Chicago.

We just spent time together, which we haven't done in a while. Really, even though only 2 days in the parks, one of our best trips in a long time.
