We bought into BCV in 2003, but never stayed there until this past week. We had stayed at OKW and BWV. I really was nervous as to what to expect after reading some of the negative reports on the boards. We were originally supposed to arrive in the morning of 12/6, but our flight was moved about two months ago so that we were arriving at BCV around 4:30. I didn't know what to expect and thought we might get a bad room. We had requested top floor, Epcot view and I reserved this 11 months ago.
When we arrived, I was given the choice of several rooms. We got top floor overlooking Spaceship Earth. When checking in, I asked if we could see the fireworks and she said she didn't think so, but we were able to see them fine. When reviewing the room she was assigning us, I confirmed it was non-smoking, not a handicapped access room, and not overlooking a dumpster. We were thrilled with the room and found it to be in excellent shape.
Staying at OKW though has really spoiled us as far as the size of the room, but we were happy with the location right next to Epcot. As I said, I really was afraid we were going to get a bad room. The room was in great shape, the rugs were clean, the couch appeared to have a water stain, but that was it for stains. The walls were in good shape. OKW also spoiled up for the full size fridge with the ice make and the full size washer/dryer, but this dryer worked very well as our one in the BWV several years ago took forever to dry.
In closing we were very happy and will start booking this same week in early Jan for Dec '07. I did see a report for people who were there overlapping a but and on the fifth floor, I did not see any trash left in the halls or dirty diapers.
All in all, we were very happy with our first visit to our home resort. I know your mileage may vary, but we were very happy.
