We're staying in a 1 bedroom at BCV (our 1st trip there) and because of a problem with room cleanliness at the GF on our last trip, we've been assured that we'll be "taken care of" in regard to our room at BCV. Disney is comping us 1 night in a 1 bedroom (we were going to just spend that Sat night at POP but they moved our ressie to BCV) and we are staying on points the remainder of the trip.

Someone from the Executive Offices has been in contact with me a couple of times and someone from BCV just left me a voicemail because they wanted to be sure that they had my information correctly and to ask what my requests were as far as my room. When I made the initial ressie I asked for non-smoking for health reasons and an allergy cleaning. I also requested top floor away from elevators because DS gets awakened by hallways noise and is hard to get back to sleep.

DH said we might ask for those things and also an Epcot view, but I don't know if there is such a thing as a quiet room that also faces Epcot. Illuminations would be fine, the noise I'm concerned about would be from guests in the hallways, he is really bothered by that and we usually end up in an end room (fine with us).

Since they really seem to want to make this trip extra magical (their words on my voicemail) what would you ask for?

All the rooms I've had at BCV have been fairly quiet from the inside. However, the noisiest I had was an Epcot view because it overlooked the road, so I couldn't really sit on my balcony. I love the woods views, and there are two little "jogs" off the main corridor that may be a little quieter because they don't get as much traffic. And this last trip, I got a woods view on the jog to the left as you get off the elevators (rms-19 to-24) and I had a perfect view straight on of Illuminations. I was on the 4th floor and could see the fire from the Inferno Barge straight ahead. I'd love to be in that area again. The other "jog" (-39 to -50) was real nice and quiet also.

I would think your best bet would be rooms 545 or 547. they're top floor so you shouldn't have any noise from above. They're also 1 BR lock offs and while not at the end of the hall there is only 2 studios and 2- 2BD past those rooms, so there shouldn't be much hall traffic. You might even be able to see some of illuminations. And they're pretty far from the elevators.
If you can't get one of those try for the same rooms on the 3rd floor (4th floor they are smoking rooms).

Good luck, and have a great trip.

Seems as though this was not planned very well, with someone smoking on a 4th floor balcony the smoke will rise right up to the 5th floor rooms. You would think all the smoking rooms would be in one section or on the top floor. Just a thought, I've already had to close my door because cigar smell was blowing in from below...

Thanks for the replies! An Illuminations view would be great, it is the road noise that we'd like to avoid so I'm going to make sure I speak with them about that aspect of being away from the elevators. I know that one end of theBCV is closer to Epcot Resorts Blvd so we'd like to be away from that.

We do bring our own white noise machine and also an air cleaner but I didn't realize that issue about the 4th floor rooms. Something else to think about, lol!

Thanks again!

If it helps, the entire fourth floor isn't smoking. I found that out when I was assigned a 4th floor room and had requested non-smoking. The CM assured me it was non-smoking, but somehow I needed to see that non-smoking sign on the door before I was sure. That's the jog on the sharp left as you come off the elevators. It had a straight on view of Illuminations, like I said, but I just looked at the map and the only 1 BR is right next to the elevators, so I don't know if there's any elevator noise there.

Have stayed on the side facing the 'frontage road' and this past trip requested a 'quiet' view. We were facing the canal and quiet pool and hot tub. Think the frontage road view was quieter. Pool and hot tub were very, very busy.
Toss up on which one, both were fine.
