Our next trip is supposed to be in the late August/Early September of this year. We'll be traveling with two 14 year olds and two adults (52) and (48). The girls like doing the recreational activites & want a resort with lots of things to do. The adults like to relax and LOVE Epcot! We were looking into either staying at the BCR (heard that SAB was awesome!) or the Poly. Which one would be cheaper for a 7 or 8 night stay? Are there any fun things to do at either of the resorts. Thanks in advance. :flower:

Yes, both resorts offer lots of cool, fun things to do. If your kids were the same ages as mine (5 and younger), I would say no-brainer stay at the Poly. Based on your traveling party and interests, I would say no-brainer stay at BC. Poly is about being at the center of the MK action. BC is about being at the center of the Epcot/Boardwalk action. Go with BC and have an awesome trip.

Both are priced comparably.

Well, I'll offer a different perspective.

The Polynesian offers a very fast and fun way to EPCOT...the monorail. You make the very short walk to the TTC and hop the monorail and you're at the front gate. Walking from the BC to the International Gateway is a longer walk than that to the TTC. However the walk to the IG does take you to the Lands so that is great for dining. We stay at Polynesian/BCV on most stays and I find them a wash for convenience to EPCOT.

If you will be going to MK at all, then the Polynesian is lots more convenient. It is also lots of fun taking the monorail or boats to other MK resorts for meals. The boats in the Epcot area just don't compare to me.

If the 14yos aren't sharing a bed, the Polynesian offers a larger daybed than the BC. But the BC has sinks outside the shower/watercloset room which is a nice advantage depending on how much primping the girls do.

The pool at SAB has more features than the ones at the Polynesian so if the girls are into water slides, etc. they might prefer SAB. But our kids still preferred the Polynesian pools throughout their teens (youngest is now 19).
But the Polynesian offers three beaches with lounges and we always see teens enjoying the beaches there in the spring and summer.

The rooms at the Polynesian are quite a bit bigger.

The prices at the Polynesian are usually a bit higher than BC but not by much.

Just some other things to consider. But both resorts are great. Have fun!

BC has great access to Epcot and MGM! Lots of food options at Epcot and around the Boardwalk. I prefer the Boardwalk area to the Polynesian/MK area. There's more to do. You can probably get a better rate the the BC too.

Have a great time - which ever you choose. :wizard:

Forgot some other things. There is a wider variety of boats to rent at the Polynesian and Seven Seas Lagoon and BayLake are much bigger and more fun to go out on than the area by BC.

Also it is very cool to watch Wishes and the Electrical Water Pageant from the beaches or even your room at the Polynesian. :cool1:
