BC vs. YC

We prefer the YC over the BC. We like the hardwood floors and the shinning brass of the YC more then the pastels of the BC.

We like the BC for just the opposite reason. We like the lighter, brighter more casual feel of it over the darker hardwood, formal look of the YC.

I prefer the Yacht Club because all guestrooms have a nice-size balcony. Many of the Beach Club's rooms offer only a stand-up balcony. I also love it's ship-shiny, sophisticated lobby.

In the Beach Club's favor, it is closer to Epcot and the newly remodeled rooms are delightful.

BC - It seems funny because they are sister resorts and share so much but I like the BC much better. I think it's because when we were at the YC it seemed more adult oriented and the BC seems more family oriented. I like the lighter, casual feel also. I usually request a full balcony room and have always gotten one (even though it isn't guarenteed.) Nasi

I love them both!

YC seems quieter to me, with a more "adult" feel to it. I love the theming and ambience of this resort. BC is very bright and cheery and closer to Epcot (walking-wise)
I've stayed at both and I still can't pick a favorite!

Would you say that the BC has more foot traffic because it is closer to Epcot? How long does it take to walk from the YC to Epcot??

Call me easy, but I'd take either one in a hearbeat!

If I had to pick, I'd say YC for the full sized balconies. But the BC is closer to Epcot.

As far as foot traffic..outside the resort to get to Epcot, I'm sure it's the same for both YC and BC.

I've stayed in both and while I still love BC, I now prefer YC. The full size balconies have a lot to do with it. Also, when you're paying that kind of money for a resort, it's nice to see the hardwood and brass and just makes you feel like you're paying for a "nicer" place. The CM's were also nicer at YC when we stayed there, of course they're nice at BC too. The walk from YC is only a little longer but then again it's a shorter walk to the launch going to MGM. I don't see how you could go wrong either way. It's a beautiful area.

We love the Yacht Club. I love the look and feel of the place over the Beach Club and I love getting the full size balconey. And don't worry, the rooms were re-done at the Yacht Club prior to the Beach Club.

Having stayed at both, we really preferred the YC quite a bit. I enjoy the upscale ambience, and we found the resort to be quieter overall. Also, we preferred the decor of the rooms at the YC and like that all the rooms have full size balconies or patios. Don't get me wrong, the BC was very nice too, we just really liked the YC better (which surprised me a little since I thought that they would be virtually identical).
