I'm thinking of booking BC garden view and I'm just wondering what we might be looking at?! Water View is an extra $60 a night. I'd rather save the money, but if it means avoiding a garbage dump view I'm willing to splurge! If we do choose garden view, is there anything I should request? Thanks so much!

Just to let you know waterview is not worth the splurge. We made that mistake.Waterview at BC does not mean poolview or lagoonview. It means that if you can see a teeny-tiny sliver of water while hanging off your balcony you have a waterview. So if splurging on waterview , make your request very specific. We like the rooms that are woodsview that look towards Epcot

Hello! BC just changed room categories at the beginning of this year: It's now "standard," "garden" and "water." Before 2011, it was standard or water, so booking standard was risky. With the new categories, garden view means you should be overlooking a trees or some other kind of greenery. Standard means parking lot, rooftops, etc. So for an extra $6 - $10 per night, you can book garden view and avoid the parking lots and rooftops! It's not like other Disney resorts where "garden" is the least expensive bookable category.

As for the added cost of a water view, I think the water views are lovely. We've been upgraded to a water view in the past and really enjoyed it, but we wouldn't book that category - especially because the garden view category is an effective way of avoiding an unpleasant view.

Good luck with your decision!

This is so good to know! I saw that Standard Club was available (we aren't considering concierge for this trip), but only Garden and Water for the regular rooms. I will save the $60 a night and look at trees! Garden View it is. Thank you!!

We've booked GV as well. Worth it for a nice view of gardens, trees, and no garbage dump  My only room request was a full balcony.

Oh, that's good to know!! I did read you either get a standing balcony or full. I will do that as well - garden view and request a full balcony. Thank you so much!
