I will be staying at BC from 8/26-9/2 my family as well as my mom and her dh.
Thinking of going to BW one evening for nice dinner/drinks and dd-7 would love to go to the kids club.
I also have a ds-3 and potty trained. Do the CM's at the BC make any exceptions on taking a child younger than 4 if they are potty trained and have a sibling already at the club? How about if I was willing to pay extra? Has anyone done this. Should I call the hotel or wdisney directly? Thanks

How close to 4 is DS? Don't know if they'll make an exception but if he's almost 4 you might have a better chance.

He'll be 3.3 in August. I hope they will let him in there with his sister. I didn't get a chance to call today from work but maybe will do now. I'll let you know.
Thanks.

I just called the hotel directly and spoke to the CM in the Sandcastle club. She told me that nowhere on property to they take a child less than 4 but my other option would be in-room babysitting, which I will not do.
My son is so tall that he is taller than a friend's just-turned five year old but he is not a mature 3 so I won't even think of sending him having them think he is older since he would not be able to handle himself like a 4 year old. Oh well, I'll still send my dd if she wants to go just to get some time to herself.

I think that the issue is not so much potty training (although I'm sure they want this) or maturity or how well they child can handle him/herself as the fact that the Disney Childcare system is not liscensed for children under 4. Toddlers and infants require a different liscense and different staff/child ratios. Disney would be risking their childcare liscense if they accepted a child under the age of 4.

As a side note we used the Sandcastle Club during our 1997 trip and both of my boys BEGGED to return every night for the rest of the trip. It's basically a night of video games/disney movies/and I think dinner was Mac n Cheese. It doesn't sound too great to me -- but I'm not a 7 year old boy. We plan on using them again this year while we go to the Food and Wine Festival.
