BC - SAB Guests??

I'm going to be at the BC in Sept. and I'm going to have guests come over and visit one day... can we take them to SAB? I know that I could do this at most other resorts, however, I've heard that SAB is guarded or something?

Sorry if this upsets anyone, I don't mean to... I'm just trying to figure out what I should / shouldn't plan on doing.

No, they have CM's stationed that check your room keys (each person needs their own room key) - then they give you the towels and let you into SAB. Unfortunately there are so many people who try to pool hop that they have to do this.

SAB isn't just guarded; the whole pool area is fenced in. To get in, everyone in your party will have to show a resort ID. Some will say that you can ask the front desk for permission to bring your guests to SAB, but the lifeguard has final say, and if the pool is very crowded that day.....we'll, I'd be kind of embarrassed if my guests were asked to leave.

It's not just SAB that's strict....other deluxes that are near theme parks have been known to ask poolgoers for resort ID. I've personally seen people asked to leave the WL pool when they couldn't produce a WL room key.

Maybe you could plan a water park day for the whole gang?

There is the "quiet pool" at the Beach Club where you and your guests would be welcome.

I stayed at the BC in late May and went to SAB.
All areas were wide open and no one asked me for resort ID. Maybe that was because it wasn't very busy at the time.
It is a great resort pool BUT is spread out and to get on the slide you have to cross an open sidewalk area. It might be hard to watch several children at the same time.

We've been there in June and July and always had to show ID.

Every pool on the WDW property is for the exclusive use of the guests at that resort. Not for the guests of the guests. Signs are posted at each pool stating this.

When we stayed there in July 05, not only did we have to show our room key (to get a towel), they also put a wristband on each of us. Do they no longer do that? We'll be there in 3 weeks.

We stayed there 7 nights June/July and had to show our room ID as well as get wrist bands.

We stayed at the BC 2 weeks ago. They did check for room keys and give out wrist bands while we were there.

we stayed at BCV 2 years ago (August) and yes, the did check ID, only when you wanted a towel. We brought our own beach towels, so I never asked for a towel and for 3 days, our ID's weren't checked. It was only when I asked for a towel that they checked my ID and explained that I should have had a wrist band. I never checked in again for the remainder of the trip and no one said anything to me. I don't think that there is any regularity in the enforc ement.

If you would like your guests to go to SAB with you then you should check with the front desk. They may or may not be able to allow you to bring guests to the pool. They may have you ask the lifeguards. People on this board will tell you that you can't bring guests but they are not in charge of the pools. Disney is in charge and will want you to be happy; if the pool isn't full and you are a guest at their resort disney may very well allow your guests to swim with you.

Actually when we were there (June 28-July 12, 2007) the lifeguards were stopping people as they came into the pool to tell them they needed the wristband (and to give them towels). They were checking all adults for KTTW.

We also just returned (July 8 - 14), they were definitely checking for KTTWs and giving out wrist bands and towels following the check. The only time I do not remember them checking was way back in 2001.
