Planning an August trip, myself, DH, and 2DD. Planning on a one bedroom villa. Have stayed at AKV and OKW, but have not tried any others. What is everyone's thoughts? Is one better than the other? Would love a villa where you can view fireworks as my daughter has sensory issues and we cannot view otherwise.

We had a Boardwalk view villa one New Years Eve and we had great views of fireworks from Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Best options for viewing fireworks for child with sensory issues. BW in a Board View room or BLT Top of the World Lounge (possibly MK view room but have never personally stayed in a MK view room).

My DS8 has autism and enjoyed fireworks at BW view room and TOTW. Now, he asks to go out on the balcony to view them once we hear them going off. Initially, he was not interested due to the sensory issues.

BWV has a community hall that is awesome but SAB at BCV is great during the summer. Good luck & have fun!

We own at BWV and book standard view this has always given us a view of the Epcot fireworks right from our room!! We could see them even from our beds!! LOL!!!

We enjoy BWV. But if swimming is a priority you might want to consider BCV with SAB.

Either way I think both have fantastic locations and you'll enjoy both. :)

Addressing the fireworks, I do think a BW view would afford you better, clearer views than any at BCV. I like BWV over BCV because it offers a few more amenities and the walk to Epcot and HS isnt bad. As another poster said, as a DVCer you can show your member card and gain access to Top of the World at BLT, stay inside if you prefer and get some great views of Wishes.

Our DS who is 20 now has had sensory issues since he was a kid. Auditory processing was a part of it which seems to make his hearing more sensitive. I wanted to share this with you because as they years have passed, the fireworks dont seem to bother him as much as before. Loud noises still seem to get the best of him from time to time but its almost like the fireworks come with anticipation knowing when they will blast and he compensates for it. I know as his parents, we liked the assurance from those that had been there done that, things for him would get better.
