I'm staying at the BC for the first time at the end of August. Can any of you experienced guests give me some advice.

Where is a good standard room? I want it to be convenient to Epcot, the bus stops and the pool.

How is the parking? Does it take a long time to get to your car. Is it worth using vallet parking and how much does it cost?

How are the busses to MK, Tl, BB, etc?

I'd appreciate all the help I can get ---- :earsgirl:

DS13 & I will also be at the Beach Club for the first time the end of Aug
we're staying in the villas

I'll describe where we were.

It was the second floor so we could walk up an open staircase from the lobby. If the lobby splits the resort in half, we were towards the Epcot side. We were about the 3rd room down. It was great because it was really close to the lobby, close to bus stop, close to pool and Epcot is close because we could just walk out the lobby exit.

I requested non-smoking and close to lobby and pool. Being close to the lobby will put you close to the bus stop.

The first night there were very few rooms left when we got there so we were in a smoking room that you had to take multiple twists and turns down hallways to get to.

They were very accomodating when we told them that night we didn't want to stay in that room for 5 nights and moved us the next day.

Any room at BC is convenient to EPCOT. The ones closest to EPCOT are the ones that have waterview rooms, which are of course more expensive. It's not more than a 5 minute, though, from any room.

I have to admit I wasn't very impressed with the bus service to MK or AK. You have to stop at all the EPCOT Deluxes to go anywhere, which can take a while. Unfortunately, this is the fastest way. They need more buses operating in this area so BC/YC can have their own buses and not have to share with BWI and Swan/Dolphin.

Getting to the parking lot is pretty easy. It's a large lot, but spread along the length of BC, so you usually don't have to walk too deep to get to your car.

Here's a great site that has a map of the YC/BC area, plus a very detailed layout of all the floors and room numbers http://www.disneyzone.net/bcresort.htm . It might give you a better idea of what area to request. Looking at the map, I think NCombs has it right with recommending 2nd floor, near the lobby. I don't know what the front of the resort overlooks, so you might want to ask for water side also. At the YC, the rooms in the front overlook the parking lot, not a great view.

I can't help with the parking because we didn't bring a car on trip to the YC, but the bus transportation was excellent and the two resorts shared it.

I thought the buses were fine. Like the previous poster said, you will be picking up/dropping off with the other Epcot resorts.

I really like the second floor. No elevators to wait for and very convenient from any location to get back to our room.

There are rooms that overlook a large roof and the parking lot. We had that view at first but after we were moved we overlooked a courtyard area facing the BC villas.

Walking around the lake in the morning is beautiful.

Also, there are full balconies with a table and chairs but other rooms have balconies that you can only step out onto.
