BC Dining?

Grand Floridian has the best QS in my opinion, I loved popping in there all day long and all the food options they had. When I stayed at the Beach Club for the first time I was really disappointed in their food options. I remember wanting to go back to the Grand while I was eating. I think the food options are a bit limited at the Epcot resorts, but during Christmas/NYE I would not change my reservation. I don't think there's anything to change it to. I was looking today and everything was showing as booked when I tried to add an additional day. Walking to the two parks during that crazy busy time will be a huge relief and definitely outweigh the food. Room service could be an easy option with a little kid so you don't have to them anywhere.

All good points! I know I’m probably over thinking things lol! I’m just going to embrace it and if I don’t like it we will now know:) thanks for everyone’s help!! Merry Christmas!!! :santa:

I think you'll be just fine at the BC, really! I know the marketplace has a limited menu, but we just stayed at BC in August and had the dining plan and we really loved stopping in the marketplace for a quick meal or snack! For breakfast, kids and DH had the mickey waffles platter and I usually had a side of scrambled eggs (snack on dining plan) in the mornings. There are parfaits too which we sometimes had as a breakfast, cups of mixed fruit (my DDs got a cup everyday!), bagels, muffins, lots of other things. It's nothing like a big food court, though, as you're finding out. But we have never had an issue finding something we like. Everyone is different, of course, but we don't mind marketplace at all! And I agree with the others that I wouldn't switch resorts at this point. BC is beautiful and you'll really appreciate walking paths to both Epcot and HS!

I think that the QS options at BC are fine, however I honestly believe that QS options in any Deluxe resort are pretty sad when compared to the moderate and value resorts. With youngsters, if I was really concerned that I would be limited in breakfast options at the BC, or any other deluxe resort, I would consider Club level, or I would book a few TS breakfast meals. Either way adds a cost to the trip, but might remove a level of stress.

I also think that we all need to be honest about what we consider to be amenities at the resort we choose. MY DH hated the BC, and I think it was how sprawling it was. It is, and it can be a long walk from point A to point B, however if you are staying at a resort with exterior buildings, you have that trek to breakfast of dinner as well, and in the rain, that can be a mess as well. It seems he does not mind the walk at the Poly because it is outdoors, and that shiny monorail is just the frosting on his cake.

When you book your resort, do not just book for what you think you will like, but always keep in mind the deficits to that resort. For my DH, the proximity to Epcot and that awesome pool are not enough to negate the long haul indoors to anywhere. For you, the lack of convenient QS meals may be more a more negative aspect to this resort than any positives you had when booking it. If you cannot find a workaround such as grocery delivery (would not work for my DH, he thought I was trying to starve his sorry self when I booked CL and expected we would have our breakfast in the lounge) adding more TS meals, etc, then I would seriously consider a different resort. WHat seems to be a small issue can have a snowball effect on your vacation.
