Stayed in each resort for two nights. My quick review of each is:
BC - pros: clean room, great CM's, easy access to Epcot, fun pool - but everyone knows that already. Cons: very noisy, marketplace crowded in AM.

CR - MK view - pros: view!, easy access to MK, pool not crowded, dinner at Cali grill lounge with excellent waitress (Rachael), construction didn't bother us, my DD(7) loved the pool slide. Cons: loved the new rooms, but mold all over the shower tile (I could wipe it off with a face cloth). Mousekeeping was notified. Used room service for breakfast here instead of food court.

Poly - stay in Nuie 2nd floor no balcony. Pros: very quiet & clean room with easy access to everything. No balcony was a bummer, but location made up for it. Kids loved the pool and Arcade. Capt. Cooks very easy for breakfast/snacks. CM's were very nice and attentive.
Cons: pool was very crowded.

Can't say much about the bus transport, as we only took one from CR to AK (stopped at WL and BB).

Any questions, let me know and I'll try to answer. By the way, it was HOT!

Was the Poly pool crowded from morning to night? What time did you go to the pool?

How was Capt Cooks? People have reported messy and crowded?

Sounds very fun. Thanks for your report.

I'm wondering how you felt about splitting your stay into thirds, with 2 nites @ each. I do split stays frequently but usually something like 2nites at BC, then 5 nites @ AKL CL or 3nites @ AKL then 5 nites @ Poly; this summer I am staying at GF and BC but thinking maybe about a third resort, like Poly or CR (if I can get it). Guess what I'm asking is, based on your experience of 2 nites here and 2 nites there, would you recommend 4 nites at GF and 4 nites @ BC or 4 nites @ GF, 2 nites BC and then 2 nites at another Deluxe??

Thanks!

The Poly pool was very crowded from about 1pm onward. It was very hot so many people came back to swim. It was closed for about an hour one day due to lightening strikes in the area so it was very crowded after it opened.

The line for the slide was very long too. My DD7 loved the slide by the way!

Capt. Cooks seemed very clean to me. Always a CM wiping up the tables. It is not laid out very well (line to check out is in the wrong location so it backs up), but service was quick and the selection was good. We never had a problem getting a table between 7:30 - 8:30am.

Loved the Poly and will hopefully go back some day.

It was fun visiting all the resorts, but 2 nights was not enough to justify unpacking and repacking, so we lived out of the suitcase. I wouldn't do that again unless I had to. I would do 4 and 4 at GF and BC. That gives you a few days at a MK resort and then a few at the Epcot/MGM area.

Did you get to eat at O'hanas, Kona or Cape May? If so, how were they. thanks!

We ate at Blue Zoo and Cape May (both were great) while at BC, then Citricos and the lounge at Cali Grill while at CR and then Cali Grill dinning room and Narcossee's while at the Poly. Our worst dinning experience was CG dinning room (they lost our order and it took three hours for the whole meal, but that's another forum). We had three children dinning with us that night so it was alittle too long for them (and the adults too).

Thanks for the review glad to hear you had good CM's at BC we will be there in 31 days ... not that I am counting or anything. ;)

which part of the BC were you in?

Glad you had a good and thanks for posting to all the questions

Hello from Hamden, CT

We're staying at BC in two weeks. What did you like most and least about BC's Marketplace for breakfeast. We're bagels, muffins, and coffee people. Kids are ages 1,5, and 9.:coffee:

Oh, there seems to be quite a few families staying about then, we will be there the 6th-13th of July.

Thanks for the review....

At the poly.....how do you guarantee a balcony....

What is the cheapest category that guarantees a balcony?
thanks

We will be trying a split stay for the first time during our next trip. We have stayed at the Poly many times and consider that to be our "home" resort. But with the kids getting older we are going to try the BWI next time. So here is what I am planning:
Five night trip--
Night One at the POLY-- This will give us easy access to the MK, Bay Lake Boats, use of the Volcano Pool and give us our Poly fix!!
Nights Two -Five at the BWI- My kids fell in love with the Boardwalk during our last trip and have begun to prefer MGM and Epcot for the rides and food.

Anyone ever handle a splt like this??

ycnan - we were in the resort side of BC. Our 4th floor room overlooked the back entrance of BC from the boardwalk area. We only had a small step out balcony. It was alittle loud from the people outside coming back into the BC and we were also near the elevator, so we had noise from people in the hallway too. We usually are in BCV (through DVC).

wlfan - hi from CT. The Marketplace had muffins, coffee cakes, bagels, fruit and cereal. We don't need a hot breakfast, so it was just fine for us. Have a great time, you'll love SAB (the pool).

alldiz - we have booked a garden view room, so upon check in the CM gave me three options of rooms that were available. I choose the non-balcony room due to it's location and view (quiet pool area). The other ones had balconies, but one was facing the parking lot/monorail and the other was near Luau cove. I thought that might be too far from TTC and also kind of loud traffic area. Tikiman has a website that describes all the long houses at Poly. I found it very helpful. Just Google Tikiman, Polynesian and it should be easy to find.

tonyspad - have a great time at BWI. I love the boardwalk at night. So easy to Epcot/MGM. Sounds like a good plan.

Sounds like you had a great time. Thanks for posting your review. I'm interested in your dining experiences, we're booked for much of the same restaurants. Are you planning on doing a dining review? ;)
