DH-44 (20 something trip!)
Me DW-41 (Trip planner!)
Our fifth day Feb. 12th Monday. Temp. 84 degrees!
Woke up to a very foggy morning. My DH went to work out at the health club and I got ready to go to breakfast at the Concierge Lounge. We decided to spend the morning visiting my sister at her place in Clermont. It is about 15 min. away from WDW. We took 192 and I must say the traffic is terrific and the construction is awful! I am so glad we are staying on property. You really understand what the 'magic' is all about once you stay on site vs. offsite.
We met them around 8am and went to their place. They are staying in a place called Thousand Trails Campsite. It is a place for RV'ers. It was really nice and big and everyone was friendly. My DH and brother-in-law decided to take their boat and go fishing on the lake while my sister and I went for a bike ride. It was a pleasant morning once the fog burned off then it got HOT! My DH asked them if they wanted to spend the afternoon with us back at the BC and go to the pool. So we left and met them at our room.
We went to the Concierge Lounge and had some sancks and got some water bottles to take to the pool. We went up the steps at the BC pool and sat above looking over the pool and played dominos. We had a great afternoon. We left to go back to room and take showers and go to have some wine at hte Concierge Lounge. They had pizza and roast beef sandwiches with horse radish sauce and lots of other great food. We sat some more and talked to all the people there.
My sister started talking to the CM and found out that he and his wife just retired and moved to Florida and now they work for WDW part-time. They love it! Great benefits and they love to meet people. But the funny thing is that they used to live right down the road from my sister! What a small world.
We said our final goodbyes and me and my DH took a nice walk to EPCOT and saw some of the movies. We made it back to the BC by 8:30pm because we had PS for the Yachtman's Steakhouse. I was surprised at how crowded it was that late. We waited 10 min. before we got seated. My DH had the Porterhouse and I had the Lobster tail. It was great. We then made it back to the BC Concierge Lounge for late night cordials and dessert. We took our drinks with us to the room and sat on the balcony watching the people and remarking on what a glorious vaction we had! Tomorrow we were leaving. Instead of going to bed we decided to walk to the quiet pool and go to the hot tub there since it was our last night. What a way to end our day. We were the only ones there and we just sat together in the hot tub and almost fell asleep! Tomorrow the conclusion of our trip! Thanks for all who read this and don't forget to post a reply! I love reading your comments! It helps knowing that some of you read these!
