I've got reservations for 8 nights at the BC Club level, standard room on 08/17...my debate is that I've heard that it can be difficult to get a king bed room, and that the resort is a bit on the thin side for noise. I've never stayed at BC before.

This is my first trip away with my partner, and I want it to be as romantic as possible...is it worth the $1500 to upgrade to the AKL club level? I've stayed savannah view there before and loved it.

- is it worth the extra?
- which has the more adult options in the club lounge?

Thanks all!

We stayed CL this past May at BC but no experience with requesting a king bed. As for the noise it wasn't an issue for us and I'm a light sleeper. Our room was 2 doors down from the lounge, across from an ice machine and around the corner from the elevators. Yes, we heard people in the hall in the mornings but nothing I would consider disruptive and nothing worse than any other hotel we've been to that would make me think they have thin walls as I've read here now and then.

Personally, I loved BC for the location and if we ever returned for a trip just me and DH this would be my first choice of where to stay. I loved being near the Boardwalk at night and walking right into Epcot and the stroll back from HS was nice too. It was just really nice to have options outside of our own resort right there in walking distance. I had hoped to spend some time with DH down on the beach at night as its really pretty and they have a couple swings down there. Thought it would be nice and romantic but someone had to stay with the kids after bedtime. I did wind down from the day on the beach myself though. Just very peaceful after dark.

I haven't been to AKL so I can't say anything about it other than for me I'm not sure we'd use the lounge enough to make it worthwhile as we'd probably not take as many breaks during the day to go back to the resort because of location.

Whatever you decide have a great trip!

THe BC club level is nice, but not the greatest on WDW property. The BW area is lovely though and great for evening entertainment. Walking to Epcot and DHS can be romantic and the dining options are extensive with great options in BW, YC/BC and Swan/Dolphin as well as all the World showcase restaurants.

My son and daughter in law spent their honeymoon here as did my daughtere and son in law. Obviously my family believes the area to be romantic.

We have stayed at the BC in all levels of rooms (including club) and neer had an issue with noise.

AKL is also beautiful. I haven't stayed at the Club level here but I understand that it is quite nice. The only down side is that there are fewer options for outside the door entertainment and only dining is at the AKL and villas.

Bottom line:
Personally, I would opt for the BC. It isn't worth extra $$$ to stay at AKL, IMHO. I certainly wouldn't consider it an upgrade.
