BBQ Grills

Hi all,
While vacationing, my hubby and I have this 'thing' about BBQing. Call it an obsession, but we love to BBQ and cook while away. I know its crazy especially since we both view it as a chore on any other occasion. Do any of the DVC resorts provide an area for grilling? We are 95% sure we will be buying at Hilton Head within the next month or so.

They do at OKW by the pools, there's a very nice area by the Old Turtle Pond pool. There are some grills at BWV (not sure exactly where). Can't tell you about the other resorts.

Just a reminder to everyone that there is no grilling on the balconies of the villas. That's a fire hazard.

I'm not positive but I think there's a grill at BWV near the quiet pool. If you were leaving the Community Hall and heading over toward Luna Park it would be on your right almost immediately after you pass the building.

There is a very large stone grill at HH between the main check in area and a connecting building. But unless you were staying in the "lodge" area it would not be handy. There maybe a grill around the pool area but I don't know for sure. Someone else could answer. Use of grills on the balconies at HH, I'm sure would prohibited.

Are we talking 'gas' grills?? That would be great. Anyone know if they have them at VWL? Thanks

We've barbecued at OKW, BWV & HH... We also like to barbecue LOL.... By far more fun at OKW, it's really set up for that kind of thing... the BW was a little more of a chore since we had to take our stuff & make it down a back stairwell... HH was also very easy as it's such a small resort... From what I hear there are no barbecue grills at the Wilderness lodge.. which is a wicked shame... I think I'll call my guide & request it!! If enough people request it, maybe they'll give us a grill!!! These are all charcoal grills by the way, and they do not sell the charcoal on site... you have to bring it with you....

Other than possbily VB, the grills are all reg. BBQ not gas. At OKW there are grills and picnic areas at all of the quiet pools but not the mains pool. At BW, it's a large grill beside the quiet pool, I think there was another one but something happened to it. At HH, it's close to the Lodge as mentioned. I've been told that HH put in gas grills just north of the property but haven't seen them.
