Forgive me if this isn't the right forum but I'm not sure where it would fit!

Have a BBB reservation for my daughter and she already has some princess dresses from the Disney store. Are the dresses in Disney World the same quality or better? We have been before but she was so young the last time I didn't pay as much attention the last time.

Thanks in advance!!!

In my opinion, the dresses from the Disney Store are just as nice as the ones in the parks. The quality seems about the same (to me).

However, if it was a dress purchased at Target or Walmart or similar, I'd say the park dresses are much higher quality!

Interesting thank you!!

DD says she wants an Aurora dress when she goes to
BBB and I'm trying to decide if I purchase the dress here before we go or splurge for the whole dang castle package there lol!!!

When we went last year we brought dresses from the Disney Store for my girls and skipped BBB (I did their hair). This year, we are splurging with the Castle package at BBB! Although honestly....I kind of prefer the Disney store version to the parks version of most of the dresses! However, I think my girls will love getting to choose whatever dress they want in the moment...

Thank you!! I think I will stay with the splurge too. She has so many dresses from the Disney store already (all gotten on sale at amazing prices) and while I don't think she will change her mind about the Aurora dress, I do think getting to officially "pick" that dress would be so magical.

Hope your little ones have an incredible time as well!

My DD (9) was a Princess fanatic from age 2 until recently. I have lost count of how many dresses we have had from either the parks or Disney store over the years. In our experience, there was a time when the Parks dresses were definitely almost always a step up from the Disney Store version. You paid for it too as they were typically about $45 at the Disney Store and $65 for the parks. In recent years we have noticed that sometimes the parks dress is still better than the Disney store's dress, and sometimes the Disney Store's dress is better. It just depends on the specific dress. I totally agree with the splurge/magic of letting her pick the dress at BBB. DD loved to "surprise" us with her pick. I would tell her Fairy Godmother in Training that she could have any one she chose, and she and the FGIT would whisper about which one. There were times she told me what she was going to be before the trip and then completely changed when she got there-- like the time she fell in love with the Minnie Halloween dress when she saw it at BBB. They put the dress in the dressing room and then do a little reveal for the girls. When DD got older and could get herself into the dress on her own, she wouldn't even let me in the dressing room until she came out in the dress to surprise me. Fun times! Looks like your DD will be 3? That was DD's first time and she was totally in love with the whole experience (this is the kid who usually screamed when anyone brushed her hair too- but not that day)! Enjoy every minute of it! It goes by way too fast!

Thank you!!! I'm so excited to see her reaction! I defineitly laughed when I read the part about the hair brushing, my DD will let me brush it but I am not allowed to do ANYTHING TO it lol!

The Disney store had a 40% of sale and I was VERY tempted to just grab the Aurora dress but I really want her to have the experience of seeing all the dresses and picking the one she is in love with.

Thank you again!
