My youngest, who will be five on the trip, I am considering doing the bippity boppity boutique for her. My older daughter is 9 and wants to do the mermaid thing at Pirates league. Do i just have my younger daughter do the mermaid thing with her big sister or try the boutique. My older daughter has done the boutique before, and while it was fun, it took FOREVER!

Is your DD into the Princesses and girly things (pink, sparkly etc) or more a tom boy?

If it’s the former then probably BBB, latter then Pirates League. My DD is 8 and can’t decide between mermaid or pirate as she’s not a massive fan of the princesses (unless they kick butt and are feisty such as Merida or Milan lol!)

As my daughter got older, BBB was too princessy for her and she opted for PL one trip and seemed to like it a bit better, following year she chose neither. With PL though we purchased her 'outfit' prior as even the mermaid was too 'princessy'.

We did two years of BBB and last year did PL when my girls were 7 and 8. If you're youngest is really into princesses I would do BBB because you never know how long that's going to last. If not I would make my life easier and do PL. Both my girls said they wanted to do the mermaid last year until they see the pirate empress and found out they would get a special name and then they were all over it. Just fair warning, with the makeup they use, the girls looked like teenagers. My DH didn't love that (the girls did though).

We are doing both on our next trip. My soon to be 8 year old wants to do PL. She had done both and prefers PL. My soon to be 4 year old wants to do BBB. She hasn't done either. She is doing BBB.

I'm leaning towards the mermaid thing, because she is not overly into princesses. Honestly, she like's minnie mouse the best.

When my DD was 6 we did BBB. She was into princesses and the special treatment along with the photo pass photographer in the castle was just so magical. We went to lunch at CRT afterwards which added to the experience for her. That being said, she wanted out of the dress right after lunch and wanted her hair washed that night. She had enough.

When DD was 9 we did PL. She was still into princesses, but not dressing up as one. She chose to be a pirate vs a mermaid. She felt more comfortable as a pirate than in her BBB makeup. The only draw back I found is that we waited much longer at PL to be taken even with an appointment. Not sure it’s any faster than BBB. That was frustrating.
