My daughter kept hers in for three days and then we had to remove it only for dance portraits. Our fairy godmother told her to wrap toilet paper around it to keep it in place that night. She loved it and was not happy when it had to come down. She was five. I would think that, as long as you take a shower cap to keep it dry, the bun will last for your trip.

Love the pictures!!! Just curiously is there other styles besides the bun? DD said she had read somewhere online that there are 3 different styles you can get?

There are others. There’s the diva style I think it is called where they add extra hair. There’s also a pop princess or something where they had colored pieces.

My daughter did it last Wednesday and she swam and bathed and her hair stayed until Friday night. She got the bun. She slept in it crown and all. The gel did get flaky the 2nd day but I sprayed a little water on it and smoothed it out and it was "refreshed" with no more flaking. Seriously, it looked like day one until I told her she just HAD to take it down and wash it. It wasn't as tight as it looked so it didn't bother her. And it washed out very easy. She has very long thick hair.

We are going in September and last week I was only able to get in in the evening as well. I called once a day and yesterday I was able to switch my time to the morning. Keep trying! Wishing you luck

I've had a little of each experience with my DD. The first time she did the fairytale style with the bun - that came down within 2 hours, if that! The next year was the pop princess with the colors and she kept it in for 2 days with no problem. The 3rd time was pop princess again and she was begging me to take it down in the afternoon but I convinced her at least wait until we got back to the resort. Last summer she did the Diva. We went back to the resort swimming that evening and just took out the extension. The next day it was fine and we put the extension back in (only obviously not good enough because I was sitting behind her on 7DMT when it flew out and luckily I caught it! - that was interesting!). She still kept the remaining style up and even had it the 3rd day without the extension and then took it down after we flew home that night and it was fine.

We also had this same time (6:10), and we also were very concerned. It was the night before DGD's B'day and the CM insisted she'd look nice for the whole day of her b'day. And she hates tight hair. However, they used so much hairspray that it seemed fine. She had no trouble sleeping with it and loved it, and that's what's important.
