I love the whole BBB thing.. only I don't have any girls so that is out of the question. :upsidedow Is there anything "special" aimed more to boys? I would love to send my boys on the pirate thingy but my youngest isn't allowed and I doubt my older son will go on it without knowing anyone (he's shy like that). Is there anything geared to boys that both my boys can do where we can be part of it? (Aside from the general attractions)

The boy stuff is more subtle, that's for sure. Here are some ideas:

* BBB does a cool dude package w/a mickey stencil and confetti in the hair..I think they can get something at the barbershop too..maybe colored hair gel and glitter?

* build a lightsaber at DTD

* The arcade at Disneyquest, although they may be a bit young to fully get everything.

* Take them to a waterpark!

* Rent a raycer boat or pontoon and cruise around for a bit.

* You could try being selected for Jedi training at Star Tours in DHS

* Rent a Surrey bike and ride around the Boardwalk

* Order a Kitchen Sink sundae at Beaches and Cream for dinner! I want to do this!!!!

* Go to the campfire and sing a long at Fort Wilderness and make S'mores. Beach Club also does this w/a campfire, S'mores and a movie.

* Eat at T-Rex and build a dino

* Go to DTD and pick a peck of Legos...it is fun to come up w/an invention and then buy the container with all of your special pieces. It is also great to spend time at the Lego building stations.

I have read that they partner the kids up on the pirate cruise, but if he is really shy, he may not enjoy it anyway.

Happy planning!

Oh, your family may enjoy a dinner show...there is Mickey's BBQ, Spirit of Aloha Luau and Hoop de Doo Revue. If you are on the Dining plan, they are 2 TS credits.

My son will be 6 when we go this summer and I plan on surprising him with a trip to the barber on main st in MK. They will give him a cut (he likes his hair in a fake mohawk) and color the hair. This is under $20.00, MUCH cheaper than BBB, plus there will not be as many cootie ridden girls next to him...;)
He will then be going to the pirate adventure.
There is also Disney Quest which is a high tech arcade. Boys love video games...

The barber shop is a good idea!!:) We're doing the Hoop de Doo so I'm hoping they will enjoy that. :) I'm also going to check out the legos at DTD! Thanks everyone for the tips.

My DS7 had his hair done at BBB while his big sis was getting a makeover - he actually really enjoyed it and the photopass pics were INCREDIBLE!!! The reveal in the mirror is priceless. And it was only $10.99. Totally worth it IMHO. He REALLY loved the not-so-hidden Mickey in the back.

from the barber shop $14 cut and hairdo(?).

no reservations. try to get there early. we got there at about 11:00 and had to wait over an hour. It was worth it though, he looooved the attention that hair got him.

We are planning to take my daughter to BBB, but I'm also looking for something like this for my son. Marking this thread for later!
