BBB current courtyard package styles

We’re thinking about trying the BBB for the first time this trip. The courtyard package looks promising because our DD4 is obsessed with ballet and would really enjoy a good tutu. When I poked around online I couldn’t find what the tee shirt and tutu would actually look like. Maybe there are options?

Does anyone have a picture of the recent offerings for the courtyard package?

Thank you!

I found this:

It looks a little different from what I remember when we went. It seems more skirt than tutu to me. The Minnie one seems more tutu to me.

You could always buy your own to surprise her with if you don’t like theirs. My daughter has cute tutu dresses for dance that are super comfortable. Keep in mind they usually run small.

Thank you so much! I was worried that “trendy” would mean something I don’t necessarily care for but both of those options look just fine.

I’m not sure how it works with the other packages, we’ve only done it once with a castle one, but they said we could always downgrade if she didn’t like or they didn’t have a dress her size in stock. They said to book Castle if we might do it so there was time allotted for it. I would think the same has to be true of courtyard. If you don’t like it you could just go for the lesser package.

Oh my goodness! This is THE best BBB make-over I've seen. It doesn't get more precious than that! I am struggling to find a good option for my daughter on the Disney Dream. She does not want to wear a princess dress and does not love either of the 2 hair styles available. She has very little hair and really needs a faux bun insert. Will they let you bring one of those for the hairstyle? I realize this is a Disneyland thread but hoping the rules for one BBB are the same for the rest.

@ExcitedMama you have been so helpful! Did you find you needed a reservation pretty well in advance or can we wing it?
Don't attempt to wing it. BBB books up quickly and is among the more difficult reservations to get at DL - it's not in a very big space (I want to say that there are only six chairs, but I could be off about this) and, since the closure of Anna & Elsa's Boutique in DTD, it's back to being the only makeover show in town.

I would make the reservation just to be on the safe side. I just changed our plans from September to October and had no problem moving our BBB appointment but I’ve only made reservations about a month out. It is annoying to wait on hold to do it because you cannot do it online so prepare to be on hold. I think it was at least 30 minutes of waiting when I called.

I think it will depend on your stylist. When I googled BBB I’ve found reviews about them being very strict so I think it really just depends. Personally I hate the severe bun look. My daughter has long curly so I requested a small half up bun which I like much better. The stylist wasn’t thrilled about it, especially when I said no to the colored hair extensions which personally look weird to me but I got what I wanted. That might work better if you want to try. My daughter has really long hair but it’s fine so for dance it does not look right without the bun helpers either.

Does she like The Descendants? My daughter loves that right now. What about one of their outfits?
