We are going to be at DL for my DD's 5th birthday which is also her golden birthday. I was planning to have to do BBB in the morning and lunch or dinner with the princesses at Ariel's Grotto. I am wondering if any one has any words of advice for either of these experiences and also what the number is to call for reservations???

Thanks

I hope others will chime in but I don't think that you can have dinner with the princesses there. Dinner's, I believe are for World of Color and no princesses would be there, so I would have lunch instead.

Maybe someone else can confirm this? But I'm pretty sure.

You are correct.

WE did this for my dd's birthdays in May. I don't remember the number to call, but it is the same one for dining reservations, it's on the Disneyland website.

I totally recommend doing early make-overs and then lunch, you need at least an hour and a half between the bbb reservation, and the Ariels reservation.

The makeover takes between 30 and 45 minutes, if you are getting a dress and accessories, or pictures it takes longer.

We took the first reservations in the morning at bbb, and then the girls got to be princess all day.

They loved being dressed up at Ariels, and they got lots of attention between bbb and Ariels, as we had time for a few attractions between.

Also, we checked in at Ariel's at the time they said, and still waited more than 1/2 hour, but it was Mother's Day, you might want to consider that when making the reservation, you may have to wait a little, I know little ones get hungry and need to keep a schedule, even at Disneyland.

I found the # it is 714) 781-3463. The cm I talked to handled all of my reservations at one time, as well as got me to the right place for our in room gift baskets.

I also recommend getting a reservation inside at Ariels for lunch, as they do a ceremony where they announce the princess's and a birthday girl gets to help, be sure to tell the hostess you are celebrating a birthday, they do choose at random though, and you can't see the ceremony from outside.

Dinner at ARiels is for WOC, no princess, so make sure to go for breakfast or lunch.

Hope that helps.

I did this for my DD's 4th birthday present. We had her makeover first thing in the morning and we made reservations for lunch at Ariel's Grotto. She loved the whole thing....it was quite perfect. We made the reservations for Ariel's Grotto when we called to set up the appt. for the makeover at BBB. My suggestion would be to make sure you have plenty of time for the makeover/pictures...then you can take your time getting over to DCA. Be prepared for lots of attention from not only CM's but guests as well....everyone seems to go out of their way to make the day special for the little princesses running around the parks. :-)

Some people have issues when spending the money on the makeover...but for little girls who love the Disney princesses and believe in magic...it truly is a magical experience...and to top it off with lunch at Ariel's Grotto...my little girl STILL talks about it over a year later. It was well worth seeing her face light up as her makeover was revealed....and when Belle made a BIG deal out of her "twin"...well it was PRICELESS!

Just my 2 cents,
