My daughter is 2 and will be 3 in February. We are going to WDW the week after Thanksgiving. My daughter is very mature, quite advanced and could easily pass for a 3 year old.

I am so sad she is excluded from the Bippity Boppity Boutique. She LOVES to have her hair done, get her nails done and have "makeup" applied. She carries her purse around and her "lippies" (chapstick that she thinks is lipstick) constantly. She's truly a princess. She wears her princess dresses and those plastic high heel shoes around the house all the time. My TA tells me the age requirements are because they don't want children taking reservations who may change their minds at the last second.

I totally understand this...but I really don't believe my daughter would change her mind. She allows my hair person to do her hair...and our nail person to paint her nails - you know?

Anyone ever seen them allow an "almost 3" in on this?

I am having my son (he'll be 6) do the pirate thing and I just really would love her to have something special too.

I think that February is too far from your trip. At that age three months is a big difference, I would make an appt at the barbershop to have her hair "glittered"
You can buy the princess crowns that they sell at BBB all over the park and I am sure the barber shop will accommodate you. Your DD won't know the difference.

If she can't do the BBB there is always a mermaid makeover she can do
They still do her lips, eyes etc I also heard you get to keep a clip! I'm sure
She will love it! :mickeybar

Our 3rd DD was a week away from 3 on one of our trips, we had her go to the barbershop for a haircut (we waited for her 1st until we were there) and she LOVED it. The put pink gel and lots of glitter in her hair. They put half of it in a ponytail which was much more comfortable for her than the ultra tight slicked back hair do from the BBB. We waited, and at 5 she did BBB and loved it too. FWIW, follow the age limits, they are there for a reason...and it gives you something to look forward to for a later trip!

We took both of my girls (5 and 2) to the Harmony Barbershop. I thought my 5 year old would have loved BBB, but I didn't want my 2 year old to be left out. It was great! After getting hair cuts, they pulled their hair back and glittered their hair. We chose not to put coloring in their hair because it looked like rain and we didn't want that mess to deal with. They were dressed in their princess dresses and the stylists asked if they had crowns and then arranged them on top of their hair do. It was perfect for them and the best part for us was it was only about $15.

As a note, your 2 year old wouldn't be able to do the mermaid package mentioned above either, as there is also a minimum age requirement of 3 there as well.

We had actually planned on having a small (very very small!) trim of her hair done at the barber shop as a first hair cut. I didn't realize they would do anything "girly" though to her hair! I will definitely look before we go and find a crown or tiara for her and then let her dress up afterwards. Thanks so much!!
