BB & TL, what days are best?

Taking into account locals, what days are best to visit BB & TL? Are the weekdays or weekends busirer? If we arrive by gate time we shodul be OK? Around what time have they closed off the gate due to crowds? General time they reopen in the afternoon?

We went to TL in May, and followed the advice of past posters and went on a weekday - Wednesday. We arrived at opening on a HOT day and easily got two lounge chairs under an umbrella right in front of the wave pool. This was a perfect home base for us and the umbrellas were great in the heat of the day. One of our favorite Disney Days was spent at the water park - have fun!!
