BB or TL? Best option, personal favourite and why?

We did TL last year. LOVED IT. It was probably our favourite day of the entire trip and we'd gone into it expecting just to be there for the morning -- about three hours. We stayed until close! And we were barely back at our chairs at all the whole day.

We'll definitely be doing a water park on our second ever Disney trip this summer/fall.

We're thinking that maybe we should try BB this time. To me the themeing doesn't look as appealing and somehow the slides and rides don't sound as much fun either (maybe it's because it seems like there's fewer tube or family rides? And I'm not too interested in the flume type slides -- for me or anyone else in our party!)

What's people's thoughts? Which park is better or your favourite and why? If you could just pick one, which would it be?

Is two water park days overboard? I'm seriously pushing for two water park days -- so basically for us to upgrade to the Water Parks and More feature, since that's cheaper. Is it worth it? (We wouldn't likely use any of the other features since the MMW coupon booklet already includes DQ admission and mini-put until 4 p.m. coupons and I really don't see what there is to do at ESPN World or see us doing a round of real golf.)

And on a side note ... why does it just cover mini-putt until 4 p.m.? That seems silly. And what exactly is there to do a WWS/ESPN World with the Water Parks and More pass?

We have been to TL and BB several times and really LOVE TL. BB has a great family raft ride and great slides. We just perfer TL for the surf pool and shark snorkeling experience.

I would try BB if you have never gone before. We have done two waterparks in several trips, especially the summer trips!

I love the theme of blizzard beach. I think it's cute and somewhat clever and I love the mascot haha. The slides and play areas are fun, the ski lift is neat. However if you don't find the theme appealing, I'd stick with tl. You obviously love it and sometimes it's nice to already be familiar with a place and know that you're going to have a great time.

Great question! I am doing a waterpark for the first time this August so I am interested in hearing the replies. We're staying at AKL....would one of them be more convenient to get to than another?

I'm pretty sure BB would be closer to you.

We stayed at CSR last time, which is classified as an AK area resort, and BB was basically next door and had a dedicated bus.

The TL bus was shared with the DTD route and it was a bit of a LONG ride from CSR, especially with the construction last summer. Don't think the construction issue will be resolved yet by this summer.

Also, to get back from TL all the buses go to EPCOT and then you have to transfer to your resort bus. That was a bit of a pain when you're still in swim wear and/or are dragging lots of extra gear with you.

But we still loved the TL experience. Really fun day

Another bonus of BB, though, that we're aware of is that one of the mini-putts is right at it so you can do that activity before or after if you've got the energy too. Though, I imagine it might be a busier/more crowded mini-put seeing as it is right at the water park and easier accessible than the other one.

We love both water parks. We can't choose so we always do both. We always buy the water park plus tickets. they have an awesome mini putt beside Blizzard beach. We leave the park a bit early to go mini putt but I think you can leave the WP go mini putt go back into WP and it only counts for one time. I think the mini putt is still included as an option for water plus tickets.
