Bay Lake vs Polynesian

Hi there
So we are renting DVC points for our next Disney world vacation. We currently are wanting Beach Club but no DVC currently are willing to give up points. So we need a back up. We are deciding between baylake and Polynesian. Now I normally would hands down pick Polynesian, however there's a few concerns hopefully you all can help with.
1) me and my grandma have mobility/walking issues. We can walk but long walks around a resort and having to rush to a bus stop isn't something we want. We have previously stayed at art of animation in the little mermaid area and that was way too far of a walk. My question to anyone is, from the very back of Polynesian let's say bungalow area, how is the walk to the buses?
2) recreation. So this will go for mostly my grandparents. I think both have good pools and my younger sister will like that. However my grandparents aren't going everyday to disney, so resort ammeneties are important. What adult things are there? Are they far to walk to? Good food close by? That kind of stuff. We aren't so concerned about how many kids will be there because they know at any resort there will be kids. They more want to more sure they have stuff to do on there days off from walking disney.

Thank you and personal experiences are awesome

I can answer you on mobility issue. I am a wheelchair/rollator user and the Poly does not work for me at all. It's a lovely resort but it has cobbled floors which make it very difficult to get around. I find the Baylake is a lot more accessible plus you can walk/ scooter from MK. I could hardly get around the Poly.
I also don't like the salt swimming pool.

A question I would ask is if you're looking at studios at BLT. They're the smallest studios in the DVC system. If comparing Poly space to BLT space for a studio, there really isn't a contest.

Note that at Poly, you have only the options of a studio (sleeps 5) or a $$$bungalow (sleeps 8). BLT has a more complete room selection, with 1BRs and 2BR units that aren't $$bungalows.

We are comparing both DVC studios. We are renting two rooms. One room with my mom, me and my 13 year old sister.
The other room would be my two grandparents

I should have specified why I said bungalows in my first post. One of the DVC buildings is in the back by the bungalows, so in case we got put there, how is the walk

It's really not that far back. I stayed DVC at Poly in October. The bungalows are further back on the water; Moorea does not back up on the water.

If I were dealing with a mobility issue and quickest access to the Grand Ceremonial House were not a big issue for me, I'd request Pago Pago and use the TTC for most of my transport needs. That said, all the Poly paths are outside. The advantage at BLT would be that getting to the main Tower is interior paths. The monorail and bus are from the main Tower and BLT doesn't have its own transport.

The DVC buildings aren't in the "back". We were in Tokelau and it was an easy walk to the Grand Ceremonial House, steps to the pool etc. HOWEVER, our home resort is BLT and we ADORE that place. For any mobility or transportation issues it really can't be beat. The Contempo Cafe is our favorite resort counter serve. I don't think you can go wrong either way but I think BLT may be more convenient.
