We are pricing a last minute trip for february 2012 and have found that there is less than $100 difference between a 1bdrm suite at Bay Lake Tower and the polynesian concierge.

THoughts... recommendations???

I am so overwhelmed with choices! It will be daughter age 7 and son age 3 and husband and myself.

thanks in advance!!

I would go with Bay Lake Tower because their One Bedroom Villa will be a lot bigger then a Standard Room at the Polynesian. Plus with two young kids I am sure you will enjoy having the walkway to and from the Magic Kingdom.

We stayed in a 2 BD villa at BLT in Jan and regular room at the Poly (will be doing Poly CL in a month), and I love them both. It depends on whether you plan to use the kitchen for meals at BLT or you'd like the convenience of someone else cooking for you in CL. The theming of the resorts is another factor. Personally, I liked them both for different reasons but my DD decided she wanted to go back to the Poly. She loves the tropical feel to it.

They are both amazing resorts so you can't go wrong either way. :cool2:

Up front, I will say that I have yet to stay at either place. That said, I always thought that the Contemporary was my dream resort. I love the architecture and the rooms and you can't beat a walkway to the Magic Kingdom. I also think a TPV would be spectacular. In the end, though, we've gone with the Poly because it seems much more like a full-fledged resort with the super lush grounds. There are not many places to walk outside at the CR and being out in the air while escaping a Northeast winter is high on my must-have list. Just my two cents, though. I think it may depend on what you plan on using your resort for.

Bay Lake Tower does not have suites. It's a timeshare one bedroom villa. You'll have a washer and dryer and full kitchen. One king bed in the master bedroom and one queen sized sleeper sofa and one twin sized sleeper chair in the living room. Two bathrooms.

You definitely don't want the BLT studio, though.

We wrestled with the same decision for our trip this past Sept. We choose BLT and are SO glad that we did. Our ds and dd were 7 and 5 on the trip. It was nice to have the extra space for parents to hang out after kids were asleep and also the extra bathroom. DS was sick on the first part of the trip and it was great to have the washer/dryer for his clothes and the kitchen too. Also, the pool was never very crowded and my kids loved the slide. I would recommend BLT!

Having stayed in both a BLT 1 bedroom and at the Poly Club Level, there is no question: BLT, hands down. Club Level was so overrated and not worth the money, at all. (No flames, please- just my opinion!) The 1 BRs at BLT are over 800 square feet and have a washer/dryer, full kitchen, large living space and 2 full baths. Love, love, love the 1 BRs at BLT. :lovestruc In fact, just got back on Tuesday from a week in one.

I wouldn't say Club Level is not worth the money, it just depends on what you are planning to do during your trip. My family are Florida residents so we have been to the parks PLENTY of times to satisfy us so we hang out at the resorts during our trips. If we are feeling antsy we will walk around the resorts or pop into the park for a couple of hours. So for us, club level is worth the money. Again, it just depends on what kind of vacation you are looking for.

Also the rooms at the Poly are very spacious. I just got back from a club level stay there on December 9-12. We had 4 adults and all stayed in one room. There was plenty of space for all of us. :thumbsup2 The offerings at the lounge were very good as well and always stocked! We really enjoyed it and will be going back.
