Hello

Does a Bay Lake studio offer as much living space as a value resort room?
Is it the same or smaller?

thanks

Pop rooms are 260 SqFt., BLT studios are about 300. But in the studio, there's a pullout couch instead of a second bed, so it can be kept folded during the day to make more living space.

Ok we stayed in an AOA room last time and found it more then enough room for us, just wondering if it's the same type of liveable space.

The problem with the BLT studio is that most of the space is in the bathroom and the kitchenette (which also used to be part of the bathroom) and the entry way. You have one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa. When the sleeper sofa is opened up, there is less than a foot between the bed and sleeper sofa. And there is even less space between the sleeper sofa and the window.

The reason for the spacious bathroom is that they needed space for the sliding door. It's not a swinging, hinged door.

So getting into bed is tight. Value bedrooms have two double beds, so you save space just by having two smaller beds.

BLT studio works well for a couple or maybe a couple with an infant.

as Deb say the living space is smaller.

in good weather you can include the balcony in the living space. this only works if you have an even number room - they are along the outside of the C - the inside of c (odd number) looks at the other villas..

what kind of view would you be getting for a standard view versus a lake view is it worth paying more for the lake view?
Also can you use the Contemporary's pool as well as the bake lake pool?

The space is tight, but that being said, my family of 4 is staying here in July for 7 nights. We aren't in the room that much and the location just can't be beat. I've never stayed here with my family before, so we will see how it goes. My friend and I did just fine last year. I've only had lake view so I can't compare that to anything else.

The standard view is the lower floors of the building. So probably parking lot, gardens. You can use the CR pools as well as BLT. But the BLT pool is small, so no CR guests are permitted in the pool and DVC members cannot pool hop to BLT pool.

You need your room key to enter the pool at BLT.

My family consists of me, at 5'8'', dh at 6'4'', and dd at 5'10''. We love staying in a studio at BLT. No, there isn't quite as much usable space when compared with a value. But, I have found there is much more in the way of storage at BLT. I like the way it's set up now.
No, you aren't going to be able to party with the sofa bed opened. But in all reality?? How much moving around at night will you be doing? We found it to be just fine.
But, everyone is going to have their own opinion.

Lol that's funny, yeah wasn't really planning to "party with the sofabed open"
Could two little ones sleep comfortably on the pull out a 3 and 5 year old?
I would prefer a lower floor to, because of the little ones, don't want to be really high up

My 10 and 12 year old were fine in it.

BLT studios are 339 square feet. :)
