We just purchased our DVC this year and we are staying at BLT in a studio from Sept 1-7th. Looking for room recommendations that I can request on what floor or area. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We are doing a split stay there, that's all the had available. 3 nights in a studio lake view and 3 nights in a standard. Hoping to get all nights the same category. I'm on a wait list

Lake view even numbers are on the outside of the ring, odd numbers are inside. Aside of that how high or low you want to be is personal taste. Also some even numbered rooms on the north side have obstructed MK views, if that is something that you would want to try for.

That is usually dependent on when you book the reservation, not upon a resort. If you don't book in the home priority window then yes, that might be your best option but if you book within the home priority then that is not typical.

It sounds like you wanted to book standard view at BLT for your entire trip because I suspect you could have gotten lake view for the entire trip. At BLT, standard view is only about 11% of all rooms and is the booking category at BLT that is highest in demand. To be able to get it regularly, you should book 11 months out, and for time between late Sep and marathon weekend in Jan even doing that may not work a number of times. Early Sep is a moderate demand time overall, but you still usually need to use the 11 month window to get standard for an entire trip and delaying too long beyond the 11 month window can result in having a split stay.
