Bay Lake Tower

We are doing a small day trip over to Disney this weekend staying Saturday night at the BLT. We got a theme park view room...I had points to use up. So anyhow, we have a FP for Mine Train at 11 pm and a FP for princesses at 8 pm. Should we go back to the room for the fireworks or just stay at the park? Is it pretty cool to see them from your room?

Any opinions on this?

The view from the park is a more immersive experience.

You'd have to see the Princesses right at 8pm and rush out of there. People start waiting for parades by 8pm. By 8:45 they are making you walk on the sides instead in the streets. After parade it's wall-to-wall people trying to get to the front of the castle to watch the show. After fireworks it takes a while for people to scatter. And you could have a smaller crowd for the 11pm parade.

If you really want to see the fireworks, I'd stay. If you don't want to deal with the crowd, I'd head back to BLT and watch from the TOWT.

I would stay at the park. It is nice to watch from your room (when you are not at the Park), but not worth leaving park for and than head back to the park.

I'd either stay in the park or go to the TOWL. The view from your room is neat, BUT, the sound is coming from your TV which is not particularly engaging. We were in a Theme park view for NYE last year, and after watching the fireworks from our room on the 30th, we decided to go to the TOWL for the 31st because of those issues.

I love BLT, but if you rush back to your room just to see the fireworks, you'll be disappointed. Stay in the park.

If you have an 8PM FP for the princesses, it is likely that you won't be out of the park and back to your room before the fireworks, so you ought to just find a good place in the park to watch them. An 8PM FP does not mean that you will be able to see them right at 8, and you might still have to wait a little.

I agree with those that say it would be hard to get back and forth from the park to your room and back again because of the crowds hanging around Main Street and coming in just for the firework or later when the crowds leaving the park after the fireworks. The walk would be easy the crowds just won't cooperate.

BTW, I like the view from the TP view rooms at BLT. IMO the best views are the rooms near the north elevators that are on a high floor.
