Heard you can order groceries to be delivered to your room at Bay Lake Tower. Is this available to non DVC guests? And how does one get this done? Thanks.

Anyone can get groceries delivered.....we've always used gardengrocer.com but others have used wego.com. I'm sure there are others, including WDW themselves that will deliver but stick with the outside vendors they do a pretty good job. I'm sure others will share their experiences with you as well.

We used gardengrocer.com to deliver to bay lake tower in april of this year and it worked out great. the groceries were held at bell services when we got there. We received a text message from gardengrocer when the groceries were delivered. within ten min of being in the room, bell services delivered the groceries up to us. =) I would recommend using them.

Thanks. And bell services were able to keep things cold? We'll be getting there around 6 pm and ideally I'd have things delivered during the day.

yep they will keep things cold for you at bell services till you get there :)

1) All resorts have a "Sub Zero" type fridge.
2) It is first-come-first-served for cooling space.
3) There is *usually* enough room.
4) But, do not be disappointed if it is full.
5) Lots of DVC people order food, versus other reosrts.

Perfect. One more question. Given we're not members and don't have a unit number until check in, do you just have it delivered under your name at the resort and they figure out the rest?

We used wegoshop when we stayed at Bay Lake Tower and were very happy. They had us call them when we landed. When we got to the resort, they had us text them our room number after we checked in. Within 5 minutes, they met us in our room with the groceries. It was really easy!

Ok. Thanks. Is there a small grocery store on site?

Each DVC resort has a small selection of groceries in their gift shop. Not sure if non DVC resorts offer this or not. I have used Garden Grocer a few times and it has worked out great. Some people will actually rent a small car for one day and go out in town if they need to buy a lot and actually come out cheaper.

Thanks all for the answers. Garden Grocer looks like a good option. Disney doesn't have it's own grocery delivery service, correct? Looking for the simplest possible solution.

DVC Members have the option to order groceries through the member site but I don't believe the service is available to cash guests. :confused3

That is correct; we were cash guests at SSR a few years ago, under the 4/3 deal. We were not able to order groceries off the website, but we did purchase a few things at the DVC store for breakfast items. It was very convenient and nice to save our CS credits for lunch instead.
