I already know that people say to request North tower and even number room.

But is it needed? Are there any bad views for water view? I was thinking of just requesting an upper floor. Any help or input would be appreciated.

The reason behind the "north tower, even number room" request is that a lot of those lake view rooms also have an MK view. We were lucky enough to be put in one from June 3-12 and it was lovely being able to watch the fireworks from our balconies. I always book a lake view villa and haven't had a bad view yet. I always request "high floor, close to elevator [for my grandmother]" and those requests have always been met.

What's the best way to add a more specific request to your room? Faxing? Emailing? Calling?

I always call. The online check-in request list is sparse, but it does include what I request. I like to make sure that my requests are definitely noted on my reservation, though, and call about a week prior to check-in to confirm.
