Has anyone had any luck being on a BLT waitlist. When we got our reservations for December clear back in February I wasn't sure when my daughter would be out of college so I started on Friday the 14th but she is actually done on Wednesday so we have plane tickets for Thursday the 13th and will arrive late that evening. I have been on a waitlist for the 13th for a couple of months.

If I can't get into BLT would you stay offsite by airport and then go back and use magical express or should I stay at OKW or SS for the night and transfer over to BLT. How much of hassle would that be.

Since you're getting in late, I would spend the night at/near the airport.

It isn't much of a hassle to change Disney moves your luggage, but I would save the points.

I hope your waitlist comes through, though!pixiedust:

I had good luck- my wait list just came through for December 22nd and December 25th. I had the two days in the middle 23/24th, but needed the ends. I got on the wait list about 5 weeks ago and received the emails that I cleared both wait lists (2 emails within a few minutes) about 2 weeks ago. It was for a lake view studio.

Good luck!

I've had good luck with the waitlist. We added two weekend nights to our stay (Columbus Day weekend) when my husband found out he was able to extend his vacation a bit. We added the extra days in July. I booked OKW but waitlisted BLT. I got word right around Labor Day that the waitlist came through (for a lakeview studio).

Either that or one of the value resorts -- I think it would be a lot of hassle getting up in the morning, waiting for the airport shuttle, checking into DME and taking the hour or so ride to BLT. If you were staying at the airport hyatt, maybe it's not so bad. It'd be much quicker waking up at Pop century, dropping your bags off at bell services for the transfer and then go enjoy the parks or breakfast while disney moves your bags to BLT.

With the discounts being offered, a value resort should be pretty close to what you'd spend at the airport.

Thanks brernashville that is a great idea I will get a value resort reservation and then if wait list doesn't come through we will still be on property. And they are having discounts on the rooms right now anyway

I just had a night come through off the waitlist for a November trip at BLT. I had reserved a night at a value to make the morning transition easier. I am SO excited because it means I only move once during my trip - not twice...

Last week I wait listed at BLT at 9 in the morning. By 3:00 afternoon we had our villa for all 3 nights we asked for! I couldn't believe it as this was my first wait list experience!:cool1:

In Sept 2010, we waitlisted a one bedroom lake view villa at BLT for four nights at marathon time in January. It never came through.
