Any update on when the BLT refurb will be done? We are staying in july in a deluxe studio lake view. Wondering how likely it is to get a refurbed studio?

By that time all available rooms should be refurbished.

I am a new BLT resort owner and probably wont stay until later in 2026. I saw the refurbished rooms and really love the decor. I heard they are closing the pool in the first half of 2026. I have two questions.

If your staying there during that time period do you get access to another resorts pool?

I heard of all the dvc resorts the pool at the contemporary is considered the worse, do we expect this refurbish to fundamentally improve it or is more just making sure its structurally sound? Thanks.

I like the BLT pool. It’s nothing special but it has a slide and is deeper than the Poly. The CR pool was the slowest slide I have ever been on. The CM told me they turned the water down because the kids were shooting out too fast . It has been three years since I was there so things may have changed. We are planning a BLT stay next year. It’s not our home resort but hopefully we can get in.

If the BLT pool is closed, you'll have access to the two pools at the CR.

Guests staying at BLT can always use those two as well as the BLT pool, but CR guests are not allowed to use the BLT pool!

After doing the math and considering factors such as resale ability , point rental ability, years left on contract and where I prefer to stay I made a offer and just passed rofr yesterday on a 200 point bay lake contract . Have not stayed there yet but look forward to it .

Agree with all the things everyone has said. You can't beat the extra bathroom, walk to MK, point chart, monorail resort restaurants, and you also can catch a bus to any resort right out front. What other resort can say that? Best in room fireworks viewing period. This is what makes us love BLT. If we want a crazy frantic hotel we go visit one. Go enjoy GF or WL during the holidays and then come back to peace.

Couldn't agree more, it has everything except a subpar pool some would say, and there's other resorts for that type of stay

The Space Mountain montage I picked up at auction when Disney was doing the refurb of BLT. The other pic is from the new refurbished studio. I just took a bunch of pics at highest resolution, avoided glare and then used some photo tools online to sharpen, increase resolution, color balance. I then just had the pic printed on canvas for me.
