Does anyone Know i what type of coffee maker is in the rooms? and is there coffee supplied like in some Hotel rooms or should we bring our own?

First BLT stay coming up in February. We had points that were going to expire so we went for a Theme Park view studio! Should I add any room requests? Does anyone have a recommendation? Thanks

Whenever we have theme park view booked, we typically just request highest floor possible. But we’ve always been happy with what we’re assigned in that category. 😅

We did our fist BLT stay back in Dec with our Daughter, her husband and our 2 grandkids (4 and 7). At first the theming and lobby was a real let down. However we had a 2 BR villa and it was GREAT!. There are 3 bathrooms! That was a life saver. We quickly forgot about the theming. The room showed its age a bit, but over all, not too bad. Being able to walk to MK cannot be overstated. It was nice to leave the noise and hassle and bustle behind at the Contemporary and retreat to BLT. It is a true oasis. Next trip we will split between BWV and BLT. Being able to walk to all the parks except AK will be insane. We have yet to book a theme park view. Our room overlooked the pool. Nice to watch the grandkids from the balcony. We own at VDH, BLT and BWV. Each is great in their own way. Hope you have as good a time at BLT as we did.

Just bought 450 points at BLT direct this past Friday. I'm super excited for our first point stay in January (even if construction is going on). Since we'll be getting in late on our first night around 11pm there's 0 chance they'll 'give away' the room type I have booked (two bed theme park view dedicated) right? If they did would they have to upgrade us or give back points?

Welcome home!

When you do online check in, mark that you will be arriving late. Disney is used to people arriving at all hours due to late arriving scheduled flights, delayed flights, etc.

They should not give away your room, barring some major maintenance issue. And then they will reaccommodate you (at another DVC resort if needed), but this is extremely rare. I haven't heard of a DVC member arriving and being completely shut out of accommodation.

Can't speak to construction but you will love the 2br. We stayed at BLT first 2 weeks December 2023 in a 2br dedicated. Great space. It was an easy walk to MK. The amenities at the contemporary was a short walk across the bridge. BLT is pretty quiet compared to the contemporary making it a real sanctuary after a hectic and busy park day.

So Welcome Home and enjoy!

This will be our third stay at BLT, my family always did cash reservations at DVC for the bigger space and hoped for bounce back or AP discounts. We got fed up with that and decided to buy in! Thanks, can't wait for our first DVC owner stay!

Welcome to the club and Welcome home!

We have been owners since 96. No regrets.

We own at BWV and BLT. This makes a great split stay. 1 week at BWV 1 week at BLT. Best of all worlds.

Have a great time. We will be back in May for Flower and Garden festival at Epcot.

FYI, a new BLT pool closure notice has been added to CR’s hotel and villa site.

From January 26, 2026 to early May 2026, the Bay Cove Pool, the water play area and the whirlpool spa at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will temporarily be closed for maintenance. The Bay Lake Pool, the feature pool and the water play area and the whirlpool spa at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will remain open for Guests to enjoy.

Thanks for the information

Can someone help me understand what the view difference is between 7506 and 7508??
One is basically a TP view, but called Lake View, and the other is Standard, but looks like a Lake View.
The kicker is they are on the same floor (5th) & next to each other. lol

I’m going to book 2 standard rooms and upgrade 1 to Lake at 7 months, so I’m looking for possible room requests to try to keep them near each other.

I’ve been reading reports that the main Contemporary building was leaking during the hurricane, and that the design has leakage issues.

I have to wonder, if that building nears the end of its useful life, what would they put there instead? Bay Lake Tower can’t really stand on its own…or would they rebuild the Contemporary with today’s technology?

BLT owner here. I always loved the subtle modern style of Bay Lake Tower.

We always get a lakeview villa. The first time we were super lucky and got a room, high floor the section furtherest from Contemporary with views of Space Mountains and the Castle. We watch the fireworks from our sofa and balcony.

Second time we got the top floor inner circle overlooking pool. My boys loved the looks on the elevator when they needed their key card to access the top floor.

Since then, I aways request a high floor and that same section.

:earsgirl: 👍 😎
