Bay Lake Tower or Beach Club?

In the summer, I like BC for the pool... and the ice cream!! Beaches & Cream and now Ample Hills over at BW :teeth:

I think most have given you a lot of good reasons for both. I love both, so I'm not going to be a ton of help. But one thing I would add into your discussion/thoughts is that you really don't have QS options at Beach Club. There is a little market that is pretty eh. And Boardwalk Bakery is good, but a walk. If you plan on a good deal of resort time and would like to have a lot of QS options for lunches/dinners, you may be better off at BLT. If not, then you are fine at either one.

I suspect we will get breakfast food for in the room...the kids eat quite early at home. Then we will get lunch in the parks and probably a table serve dinner. I don't think lack of QS options will be an issue but thanks for the advice :)

Call me weird but I just don't consider the BCV pool to be all that. The slide there is boring and the lazy river will be too much for the youngest one and perhaps even the middle child. At BLT you also have access to the CR pool area. Proximity to MK is what I'd go for especially if you will be driving where you can't walk or boat. That and the 3 bathrooms as well as it just being more space overall would have me at BLT.

Thanks, this is useful. We've never stayed at BCV so I have no personal experience of the pool. We will be visiting the water parks so perhaps BLT is the better option? I'm probably overthinking it as they will have a great time either way. They have nothing to compare to so won't know what they are "missing" wherever we end up....

3 children ages 10, 8 & 5 will be easier to keep track of in the BLT pool.

SAB is big and made up of several separate areas, including a lazy river. It's quite spread out. It is an awesome resort pool, but not one where I would want to monitor more than one small child. For example, as I recall, you have to leave the gated area to reach the slide. That means you are going to need more than 1 adult to keep an eye on the children - as they will probably want to be in different areas of the pool. That, together with the extra full bath and short walk to the MK would lead me to choose BLT. The short walk means an easy trip back to the resort from the MK for an afternoon rest & swim. An added plus is the ability to take the elevator to the TOTWL to watch WISHES (when I didn't want to be in the parks so late). Since you will have a car, you can drive to DHS & AK and take the monorail to EPCOT. Many children consider the monorail an attraction in and of itself, LOL.

I love the EPCOT resorts, but IMO, BLT can't be beat with young children - especially if you are not going to make them "commando" tour.

Yeah we definitely aren't doing the commando touring! The kids will not cope in the heat so I am planning shortish days with an afternoon break and we might pop back in the evening depending on their mood/tiredness levels...

I love MK so BLT is my perfect resort (hence our home resort) and it would be nice to be so close by....

Of course, as I mentioned, I'm in a minority that doesn't base a BCV stay on a love of SAB. I do kind of like the quiet pool there though. Carol outlined a lot of the issues at SAB with a group of children. And if you're going to the water parks too I wouldn't worry too much about the pool and would just go with where you want to be. It can make a different trip but I'm sure either will be great!
