For our 60th birthdays my husband and I with our autistic adult son are thinking of staying at a 1BR at BLT renting points. Is theme park view worth it? In pics I’m concerned about the big view of parking lot and not so much theme park view. Also, the pool. I read a couple comment about the slide being a bit rough (they referred to it as being similar to a broken coat zipper!) . Also the walk to contemporary transportation, is this a big deal or not so much? We’re big walkers, just wondering about your opinions on the walk. Thx! Any other insight to this property would be appreciated.

1) If you have a great view of the MK then you will also, in all likelihood, also be able to see the parking lot. My son and his family had a standard room and had a great view of the MK ( also the parking lot).
2) Last week we were at BLT and my 4 grandchildren went down the slide on several occasions and not once did they complain about the slide being rough.
3) The walk to the bus station at the Contemporary is maybe a 5 minute walk tops.
4) Have a great trip!

BLT is right next door to the Contemporary so I have no idea how someone thinks its a long walk. Clearly you will do FAR more walking at the parks !!! There is also a covered walkway between the two if it happens to be raining.

Never stayed at BLT but our last trip we stayed at the Contemporary and had the lake view. We can watch that nightly lighted boat parade from your room. We thought it was great and didn't think the extra $$ for the theme park/parking lot view was worth it. Not sure if you have a choice of lake view at BLT based on what exactly you are renting.

I actually prefer the lake view at Bay Lake Tower as it is more peaceful/relaxing; the Magic Kingdom view is interesting, but I don't like the relative chaos of the parking lot/bus area as part of the view.

We love BLT! We have never upgraded to Theme Park view but have LOVED our lake view. We would spend many nights watching the boats and the light parade from our balcony. The walk to transportation is very short and the walk to MK is perfect!

We had our first stay at BLT May 2021. Loved it! An extended family trip, which also includes our adult autistic son ❤️
We had a two bedroom Lakeview and absolutely loved it. Walking to MK or to contemporary bus stop, easy peasy.
no issues walking across the bridge to the contemporary. All of us loved the resort layout and the ease to get around at BLT. I cannot speak about the slide, as I did not go down it😎
The Lakeview was hands-down favorite, two-year-old granddaughter loved watching the boats and our adult autistic son enjoyed sitting on the balcony. Everyone wants to go back to this resort
