Bay Lake Tower lounge

We have accessed the lounge with family members who are NOT members but were staying in a studio on our points while we had another studio. While Bill is correct on the technicalities, my Wife and I our both members so in theory we could be staying in both studios. Yes, I understand if we are not showing as guests in each studio "technically" we cant do that. It has never been an issue. If it was I would walk across to the front desk at BLT and have my name added to the other reservation.

If you are trying to bring up more than room capacity or rooms capacity it could be an issue, but that is 8 to 10 people. One thing for sure is you need to be with your guests to access, based on my experience.

It may depend on the CM at the elevator. If you have space in your studio, just add him to the studio. Then he is "on your reservation".
Can he be on 2 reservations at the same time? This whole thing never occurred to me before as I always had the kids on the same reservation. but he's grown up now, and we both like our privacy. I was just short of the points for a BW view 1 bedroom so I got BWview studio for me and standard studio for him. Perfect, I thought. Granted it was done in kind of a hurry at the 11 month window. After 12 years as a dvc member and almost 30 years of going to WDW I still have things to learn. Thanks for your input.

Just add his name as his initial and his last name. He'll need a magic band or card key to show instead of the magic band for his studio. But it would get him access to both rooms.

The Epcot lounge is for not accessible to resale owners after April of 2016 if I remember correctly. Must grandfathered in or buy 75 points direct for full benefits.

Correct, the Epcot lounge is for members who have the Special Event Rights (blue card) and not for those with a white card. The TOTWL lounge is available to all members.

Well to muddy the waters more- when we run out of points we stay at shades of green and usually with other couples. I know at least 3 times I have gone to TOTWL while I was only on a SOG ressie and I am able to access the lounge and have brought others with me. I have even stated to them I am a member but staying at SOG and they let us up.

We have brought friends up before that weren't staying with us and they didn't say anything to us about it. If we weren't supposed to bring others up, they never said anything to us when we got there to take the elevator.

The requirement is that you are staying anywhere onsite either cash or point bookings during most of the year so even though SOG is no longer Disney owned I'm not surprised they place it in the onsite category because of it's unique background and circumstances.
